Still feeling so proud of myself for last Sunday’s grind at my 3rd NYC Marathon..I did it!!! 🏃🏾♀️
Marathon #7 overall!
AND….A course PR and a marathon PR 4:00:36 → 3:52:44!!!
After finally breaking 4 in Berlin (in that 81° heat!), to come back to this city, the one that humbled me twice….and run my strongest race yet… I’m just really proud!!!And I had so much FUN!! The city showed UP and out for real. ❤️🔥Stayed confident the entire way through even when it got hard those last 4 miles!!
Big props to my friend
@joshmvernon for pacing me with patience, humor, and belief. You kept me locked in every mile. There was never a moment where I felt like I wouldn't be able to do it! This man came through for me and I am forever grateful!
And to my coach
@justrunjulia !!!! I came into this race READY bc of how much you have pushed me! Three years together! Time flies! You’ve guided me through every season of this journey. So grateful for you,
@thatcoffeyboy and
@thenonameprogram for creating a space for ALL runners and for a training program that prepared us for all them damn hills!!!! 🤍
@theplatecoach for teaching me how to fuel like an athlete. Absolute game changer. Them carbloads are no joke! Lol.
@builtbywill for this strength cycle and helping me carb load effectively with a precise nutrition plan!! Not gonna lie, the load aaaaalmost took me out but trusting the process and just eating the food, lead to me never losing energy the entire race!!
And finally thank you to
@nyrr for the incredible opportunity to run this race the way I did. Truly grateful. 🗽💚
I started running because I wanted a challenge…
But it has become so much more than that.
