The veil is lifted, our artist for Saturday the 4th is Andy Martin, Guadalajara based producer/DJ. Andy is an artist creating techno that forms from merging streams of deep future dystopian atmospheres and Latin Caribbean psychedelic rhythms, drawing upon his heritage, the sounds of his youth as well as diverse cultural influences such as Indigenous Mesoamerican spiritual traditions or William Gibson’s Neuromancer. With a forthcoming project on Animalia called Tierra de Nahuales, Andy has been sharing his sounds on some of the most revered clubs and at festivals in the world such as pe:rsona (captured in an incredible ani/live recording on soundcloud), Berghain, Dekmantel Selectors, and with upcoming spots at Organik, memorí, Butik and Stone techno Festival. We are fortunate to have him join us for Crystallise whilst on his first trip to Australia, at an intimate location TBA type of night. Crystallise resident and organiser Parcae on support, two extended sets will cover the night, slow burn hypnosis, time dilation, deep echoes and reflections. Artist Augustine Flett will be installing his unique sculptural works, and developing a spacial design integrated with lighting, intentioned for an atmosphere that places the sound and space at the forefront, foregoing flashes for pulses and variance for consistency of tone as we venture through the deep and dark. @suspensionofdisbelief__ once again has blessed us with their beautiful lens and vision, capturing our event at the portugal madeira club with @alkaanet and @worldof.knots on Feb 14th. Our day into night event took place over 12 hours on a Saturday, and featured an insane lineup capturing a spectrum of sounds from swampy psy dub, live chin-stroking idm, to deep ritual euphoria. Over two stages, with locals and internationals, in an unexpected location, this was one of those moments that could only happen with the exact right stars aligning at the right time. We were also so happy to be able to put on a market and pizza kitchen, it was really cool to see the scene come together and support each other, community is how we keep this DIY stuff going. Ive had the chance to work on some nice projects over the last year or so and wanted to share a few bits for memories sake in 23/24 i was really inspired by some local events like boof/gm and decided to organise something to share the same feeling with others, but i didnt have any cash or knowledge about AV so just had to learn how to do it from scratch, since then with lot of guidance and support from some very talented and knowledgeable people ive been lucky to design/produce/build some cool stuff and hopefully provided some fun experiences for those attending photos and videos in a more or less chronological order of crystallise, alt projects and a few installs for other crews i dont plan on taking on any more external work for installs but i am hoping to share more music through djing this year so if you would like to work together in that capacity please hit me up, open to many types of gigs, new mix coming out soon 🤍 Next crystallise party is 21st of March and may exceed everything in here for how cool its gonna be so dont miss it 🌀 ps limited by amount of tags to credit everyone but shout out to @ns_audiovisual for being a great gear hire partner
