I may sing & dance on a weekend, but I listen with my most intent throughout the week. My 7-day cycle is one of tightening & releasing myself from the grip of my own expectations, where each day & each night has its own predetermined meaning, often not chosen by me, but by the week’s end.  
To focus on the end is to lose grip on the moment(s) before. I will allow myself the kindness of no expectations. I hereby grant myself an opportunity to do nothing but listen. — Lovejoy & blur pres. Huerco S (Live) (USA) (@west_mineral ) Climes (Live AV) (@petrich0ral ) Adinda (@bindi.mt ) — Huerco S is the ambient overbelly of Brian Leeds, aka Loidis. A producer who invites an active kind of listening, done so with a meticulous brand of minimalism. Here, he premieres his live set on Australian shores for the first time. Climes, aka Monty Callaghan, is an artist and composer born & living on Gadigal Land/Sydney. His debut full-length album, ‘Water & Music’, is an ambient record and film, done in collaboration with Naarm/Melbourne-based filmmaker and artist Jordan James Kaye, and utilising archival voice and piano recordings by each of his grandmothers. Set to release in January, we’re so pleased to premiere some of this forthcoming release for the first time. Adinda is a DJ, broadcaster and writer who, while relatively fresh to the stages of Gadigal Land’s ‘undisclosed’ spaces, has taken to them with a passion and consideration matched only by some of its oldest veterans. We’re so pleased to welcome her to Lovejoy & blur for the first time. — We’d like to recognise that this event, and all the work done in the organisation of it, has taken place on stolen land. We want to acknowledge the Owners of the land on which we will gather - The Gadigal People of the Eora Nation. We’d like to pay our respect to Elders past, present and future, and hope that all our guests do the same. Sovereignty has never been ceded. It always was and always will be Aboriginal land. We’ll be offering tickets free of charge to any First Nations people who wish to attend. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Guided by a profound state of introspection, Zara utilises intricate rhythms and deep atmospheres to draw out expressive qualities in music. Whether it’s IDM, drum and bass, or techno, the Kinesis label-head fuses it all with an enigmatic sense of delicacy. Zara has continued to awe us as on her musical journey with stand out releases on Animalia and Pure Space and a real touch for storytelling in her sets both at home at the doof and international stages like Deschool and Trésor, as comfy with peak time to cozy ambient, there’s a spaciousness that joins her palette of sounds. Harmonising the ethereal and ominous.

@agonis_amenthia is a Swiss-based producer, DJ and label head of Amenthia Recordings which he co-founded with Garçon. A refined yet intangible sound which dances between the organic and synthetic. Beginning as a platform for Agonis and Varuna’s productions then evolving into label club nights in Basel. Operating from their Swiss home, modular gear heads Varuna in the basement studio, Timnah and Garçon with the DJ room in the backyard. A melting pot of experimentation, musical curiosity and community. 2021 saw the release of Agonis’ debut album Neutropia on Amenthia Recordings, 50 minutes of lysergic experimentation, effortlessly gliding between cerebral rhythms and more forceful frequencies. Agonis was a highlight for us at @mnmt.no this year and are over the moon he’ll be making his Eora debut with us this Friday

Almost two years since first hosting @woodyninetytwo in Aus, we welcoming the master spell caster back to Eora. Woody is someone who has been hugely influential to us in many ways, his vision and world-building and strong artistic direction both graphically and musically. Warm, humble, incredibly passionate, and of course, a total wizard behind the decks. Known for his mind melting sets incorporating psychoactive strains of leftfield electronics, hypnotic techno and radiant minimalism. His label Omen Wapta has carved out a special niche, fast, minimalist and deeply connected to the earth. Last one for the year, and a fitting one at that. Some may have noticed we've had the system around for a few parties recently at one of our favourite Inner West TBA's, which has been an absolute pleasure. As the system has grown it's been a lot of fun to get it around to lots of different spaces, but we are feeling very at home with the current setup. Being able to work with so many amazing local crews in different ways has been such a dream, and we've been using the opportunity to hone in on an install that works really well in this incredible space. It's the culmination of loads of work and a vision spanning across many years, and we're so lucky to be able to share it with the community to do our favourite things together - listen and dance to music. Panoply is coming up this weekend and features many beloved DJs & artists & dedicated members of the community from our blossoming Eora scene, so if you haven't had the chance to experience it we'd recommend buying a ticket - we'll be on sound duties, along with our wonderful friends/fellow audio nerds from the @safaripark_ crew. There are so many people to thank for playing, dancing & helping us bump in & out throughout the year and we are so grateful for you all giving us the opportunity to do what we love & continue to grow and evolve.
