We’re delighted to welcome new signing to the label, Sina. Her debut single ‘Olympus’ is out this Wednesday and her LP for Somewhere Press arrives late this year. Sina is a member of the Naarm collective Dregs, whose self-titled debut (2023) drew dub, trip-hop and club-derived atmospheres into something sensuous, hypnotic and swampy. Her new alias moves deeper – slow atmospheric composition, reverbed guitar, and ethereal vocals that shimmer through accumulating layers of dub, noise and doom. 📷 by Lucius Brand @neurodanc3r

On Wednesday, February 25th, 𝕿𝖍𝖊𝖗𝖎𝖆 is proud to present an evening with 𝖁𝖔𝖎𝖈𝖊 𝕬𝖈𝖙𝖔𝖗, the enigmatic music project of-Sheffield-based artist @noakurzweil . One of contemporary electronic music’s most distinctive voices, Voice Actor is known for blending her haunting, deadpan vocals with dream-pop, IDM, trip-hop, and lo-fi aesthetics with hypnagogic soundscapes. Voice Actor’s discography can be discovered via Nosedrip’s agenda-setting label STROOM, run out of the North-Western Belgian coastal city of Ostend, and has been extensively supported by NTS Radio where she also has an ongoing residency. Her releases include the sprawling digital debut Sent From My Telephone (2022) featuring 100+ tracks, followed by Fake Sleep (2023) and Lust (1) (2024) with Squu. At The Vanguard, she will disappear behind a screen-based installation, projecting visions of her distinctive world into space. Opening for Voice Actor is 𝕾𝖎𝖓𝖆 (@sin____a_ ), who melds hazy ambient textures with shoegazed guitar and vocals. Sina is a member of Naarm-based collective called Dregs, whose narcotised, tranced-out dubby trip-hop was released via the London-based label purely physical teeny tapes. 𝕮𝖔𝖓 𝕻𝖆𝖓𝖎 will DJ during the interstices, from doors and between the live sets. Following memorable DJ sets at Soma, Soft Centre and on NYC’s The Lot Radio, they will nurture and sustain the hazy atmosphere. A special addition to the line is local bass icon Sina. Through her multifaceted involvement in music, Sina has emerged as a pivotal member of Naarm’s drum and bass scene. As 1/3 of dregs and the mind behind Claudia Sin, Sina’s angelic voice, melancholic atmospheres and experimental rhythms has won over the hearts of many listeners around the world. As a DJ she combines off-kilter trip-hop, psy-dub and swampy half-time in a nostalgic yet original style. A longtime favourite of kinesis, we are so glad to have Sina help soundtrack the afternoon. 🖤
