His practice explores the intersection of visual art, sound, and space, transforming light into an organic sensory experience. Specialising in hypnotic, audio-reactive live visuals, he creates environments that respond in real time to music, inviting audiences into synaesthetic perception. His works often draw from natural imagery and generative processes, forming organic, evolving textures. Interlooper has presented installations and live visual performances at local Australian music events and festivals including Crystallise, Woodburnia, and Tempovía in Italy. He is the founder of @substasis_ , an experimental event series dedicated to creating temporary spaces for music, light, and immersive art; hosting legendary artists such as Woody92, Spekki Webu, KOP32 and Gi.

ELYSIAN | @machinehall | 26.09.25 l @__patcarroll x @interlooper_av | Pat Carroll and Interlooper present a new site-specific audio-visual installation, created exclusively for ELYSIAN. Within the historic Vault at Machine Hall, light and sound converge to transform the space into a living, breathing environment. Audiences are invited to sit within the work, surrender to the atmosphere, and experience shifting currents of sound and light that move like passing weather across one evolving landscape. Powered by the Vault’s Void sound system, Reflections: Biophony unfolds as an otherworldly passage through sight and sound - a space for deep listening and reflection. || @__patcarroll is a composer and producer with a background in electroacoustic music composition. With a PhD in electroacoustic composition from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, his work is deeply rooted in the drama of sound: the quiet, intricate textures that swell into overwhelming intensity. His work sits at the intersection of a range of electronic music styles such as electronica and ambient, informed by the precision and expression of classical music, and the experimentalism of art music traditions. @interlooper_av is a Meanjin-based visual artist who works with light to form immersive installations. Crystallise; The Cavern is on July 5th, only two weeks away. The space will be shaped by artists, DJs, but most importantly by you the dancers, those casting the wild flickering shadows through the haze. Visual works and sculptural installations by contemporary artists Augustine Flett and Jess Fitzpatrick, with spatial design by Meanjin-based artist Kevin Nguyen, joining forces with the Crystallise crew and more to transform the warehouse into a realm of shimmering depth and movement. THE WELL ⁣ May 31⁣ 3-6PM Sydney Park. ⁣ ⁣ The Well is a transformative, site specific exhibition. This group show will be celebrating the ancient ritual of gathering around the communal well. A place to share information, commune and give offering to the infinite source. ⁣ ⁣ Featuring: ⁣ ⁣ Jess Fitzpatrick (@jess.fitzpatrick ) will be presenting a series of large scale textiles. Their essences laced with fragility, the draped rituals will guide us to walk gently, grounded by reflections on beauty, the spiritual and peace found in nature. ⁣ ⁣ Augustine Flett (@assumptionofthelamb ) unveils a new sculptural series for ’The Well’. Presenting, both solo and collaborative ceramics, sculpture and mutli-media installation. The large scale structures will be a mystical collision of the post human and the organic. ⁣ ⁣ At the heart of the this series, a living well, centring the exhibit and creating a living gateway to the next. ⁣ ⁣ Imogen Keane-James (@imogensuselessmagic ) is an artist working on Darkinjung land and will be integrating a series of formal ceramics. They will be activated as communal vessels for warm brews around The Well. Laced with intention, Immy’s vessels are deeply connected within family as she reflects on a lineage of talented potters and ceramists. ⁣ ⁣ Fergus Bullens’ (@tape.over.bodycam ) ceramic forms are the guardians of our Well. Skeletal and porous, curated incenses will protrude from their rigid bodies. The fleshy statue garden will ground our congregation in scents and the mystique. ⁣ ⁣ Kevin Nguyen (@interlooper_av ) is a Meanjin-based artist. Kevin has created a new interactive, audio responsive installation for The Well. Inviting viewers to experience an immersive gateway, altering perception, as he opens a new portal to be experienced as the sun begins to set. ⁣ ⁣ Giulio (@parcaeaeae ) will be mixing an ambient soundscape to be played during the exhibition. Focused on deep technical sound and textured ambience, expect an intentional and introspective response to The Well as the exhibition unfolds. ⁣ ⁣ See last post for location and details.⁣
