This is the last week to catch "Fragments of Home: Eastern European Stories from Newham", an exhibition by participants of the Eastern European Photography Club, which I ran with Elena Juzelenaite in 2024. Over six months at Beckton Globe, we met to share stories and reflect on identity, migration, and our connection to Newham. Directed by German-Ukrainian filmmaker Miriam and produced by Polish producer Ella Natalia Hopkins, who participated in these sessions, follows me and Elena on our journeys as workshop facilitators, offering glimpses into our lives as we navigate Newham. Screening at Rosetta Arts until 14th March. Directed by Miriam | Produced by Ella Natalia Hopkins | Edited by Sam Hopkins | Colour Grade by Kat Przado (LNDN) | Camera Rental: Moonshine Film Limited – Jack Smith, Kosta, Alfie Peter | Lens Rental: Cooke Optics Limited – Cooke Logo, Carey Duffy, Genevieve Subbotin, Joe Woolley | Special Thanks: Kit Mackenzie, Conor Chalk @elena_juzulenaite @ellanataliahopkins @bespoke_windrose @zoltanphoto.london @miriamfilm @samhopkins_editor @przadok @lndn.film @moonshinefilm @cookeoptics @djdeanlyon @artizineuk @ukrainian_restaurant_albina @fivepointsbrew @al3xba_art @sol.irani @veronikayogini @culturewithin_ @romasupport @centrala_space @aceagrams

Today at 3:30 pm at our @re.thinking.eastern.europe Discovery Booth J02 at @photolondonfair , I’ll be signing copies of Disco Polo, alongside Homeland and Wall Unit zine. Disco Polo examines post-1989 Eastern Poland through its visual landscape, where East and West meet through global capitalism, consumer imagery, and a rapidly shifting urban visual culture. The presentation is accompanied by Homeland, which traces migrant communities in West Bromwich and Hyson Green, and Wall Unit, an investigation into domestic interiors and the material legacy of socialism in Eastern Europe. Come by to browse the publications, say hello, and chat about the work in person. See you there! Discovery J02 Photo London @olympialondon
