It’s been a long, long time. For obvious reasons, trying to make in times of chaos is not always easy, but let this be a start. Let it say what I cannot find the words to. #traditionalart #fineart #painting #installation #inthemaking #paintalong #paintwithme #folkart #folklore #artforpeace #artandculture #culturaldemocracy #contemproraryart #newart #artnews #crisis #thinkingthroughmaking

Sketchbook favourites from London, Krakow and Budva ❤️ Speaking to @artyanes recently, I heard it echoed back to me - “you are a woman with a girl inside piecing together parts of her life, searching for what feels like a lost home” through words, fragments of drawings. It touched me deeply and these are perhaps some of those fragments. I am still imagining what this tapestry of belonging looks like, by touch and by feeling, rather than through the mind. Thank you for the insight. It is still unfolding daily ❤️‍🩹 Some of you will find familiar views from bridges, from @waxbrew , from town centres. People, animals, pieces of a constantly evolving home.

I am so proud to announce that together with an incredible team of @re.thinking.eastern.europe artists we are coming to @photolondonfair in May. Rethinking Eastern Europe is an art collective and collaborative platform for artists exploring the notion of the “Eastern Bloc”, challenging misconceptions, stereotypes and views associated with that region. Rethinking Eastern Europe stemmed from my personal and professional desire to connect, unlearn and rethink. As one of my project participants said to me a few years ago: “Eastern Europe is not a place, it’s a period in time.” This has been a guiding idea when founding the collective. REE has been growing organically over the last couple of years, and now we are a platform of 50 artists, with 12 of us coming to Photo London. Rooted in lived experiences of migration and post-socialist identity, we explore themes of memory, belonging, intergenerational history, and shifting geopolitical landscapes. Thank you to @__sophie.parker__ for inviting us for this year’s edition of the fair Come and see the incredible work by Alexandra Joanna Baker @al3xba_art Diana Serban @battlegrounds19 Ksenia Kazintseva @@essentialaspects @tinysassyspoon Laura Bivolaru @laura_bivolaru Magda Kuca @kuca_magda Maria Gvardeitseva @maria.gvard Marcelina Amelia @marcelinaamelia Michaela Nagyidaiová @michaelanagyidaiova Paulina Korobkiewicz @pakropka Vera Hadzhiyska @verahadzhiyska Zula Rabikowska @zula.ra Zsuzsanna Ida Papp @papp_ida_zsuzsanna #art #Photography #rethinkingeasterneurope

We’re excited to share that From the Bloc podcast is now joining forces with Izba Arts. 🥳 From the beginning, we always wanted From the Bloc to reach further and become more. Joining forces with Izba Arts feels like a natural next step, and we can’t wait to create a bigger space for the expat community together. We’re looking forward to share more from the community and introduce the people behind the project.✨ #fromthebloc #art #expat #community
