Hello friends, itâs been a while đ
I am coming out of the late winter fog with some good news. Iâm showing work from my ongoing Time Capsule series at Battersea Arts Centre this March, as part of
@izbaarts â Maslenitsa Festival, a vibrant celebration rooted in Eastern European tradition, marking the close of winter and the arrival of spring.
The exhibition brings together artists from across Central & Eastern Europe and Central Asia, co-curated by
@margaritamakhanova and
@tinysassyspoon . Expect multimedia work spanning installation, sculpture, painting, photography, performance, poetry and zines, alongside performances, talks, and family-friendly workshops.
Time Capsule is set in my grandparentsâ home in Southeast Romania and explores the stories held by objects and space, and what remains when the people we love are no longer there. Iâm glad to be bringing this work into a space that feels so right for it, alongside a few of my
@re.thinking.eastern.europe friends.
If youâre in London and donât have plans for this Wednesday (short notice, I know), free tickets are via link in bio, or just turn up đŹ
