Art is a conversation, not just a transaction. The Print Swap community was built on a simple, refreshing idea: artists connecting with artists through the physical exchange of work. When the launch takes place at theprintspace Shoreditch on May 7th, you won’t just be looking at a gallery wall; you’ll be looking at the start of a global network of creators. This is your call to be part of the launch exhibition. We in the process of are curating the 50 prints that will be up on theprintspace walls. If you want to see your work on these walls, here is how to get involved. How to join: 1. Head to @print.swap and download the app. 2. Upload your work by the 1 May deadline to be considered for the show. 3. Join us on 7 May to see who you’ll be swapping with. Secure your spot. Schools 🏫 great and all that but as my good friend @realsimonsquibb knows you can’t beat learning from the school of real life! When I heard my husband’s favourite living artist was in town I bunked primrose off school an hour early & popped in to see @mrdoodle @theprintspace . I wanted my very own funflower 🌻 to see for herself how much skill, passion & commitment goes into making doodling look easy. Meeting Sam was everything two star struck girls could wish for; he’s clever, creative, humble & kind. The icing on the cake was the moment he turned me into a piece of living art by doodling on me! The best bit though was being peer pressured by my nine year old to get the drawing preserved forever on my arm for prosperity! As ever our roles are totally reversed. So I’m looking forward to the day when primrose is old enough to get a tattoo & I can tell her to be sensible & never grow up!😜🌻 Primrose is back at her drawing board again this wk which is wonderful & I’m still day dreaming of this very special day.
