I took these photos during my first month living in Tokyo, back in December 2018. So many fond memories one frame after another.
— Man in Yokohama
— Friends by the Tamagawa River
— Police officer in Shinjuku
— Ana and I’s favorite car in Komae
— Soccer player by the Tamagawa River
— Bridge structure over the Tamagawa River
— Komae Station at dusk, on our way home
— Fire extinguisher eaten by nature in Komae
Long time no post. Went on an accidental Insta detox, but my wife says I should actually show my work here and she's probably right (she always is).
Anyway, this is Ale in London. Happy Monday, people!
In November of last year, I embarked on a month-long journey to Japan, armed with my 16mm camera to immortalize my most cherished human in the world. Some of you may know that we lived in Tokyo, so it wasn't just a holiday; it felt like a return to a second home, a reunion with our old friends. Our travels spanned from Aomori to Tokyo, punctuated by numerous stops along the way, culminating in a dream-like week spent in Okinawa. I invite you to join me on this captivating ride alongside Ana through the diverse landscapes of Japan. To all those tuning in, much love to each of you.
Continuing the series of 16mm videos set in Japan, meet Annabelle and her friends, Sammy and Yo. This dynamic trio not only shares a close bond but also boasts impressive talents as artists and models. Joining them for a night out in Shibuya, Tokyo, was an unforgettable experience. Their infectious energy left me inspired, and I'm eager to share this vibrant encounter with you in the hope that you'll find it equally enjoyable.
Returning to Japan last November for nearly a month, I documented the country and the dear friends I had missed profoundly with my 16mm camera. In the upcoming posts, I'll share glimpses of these captured moments. Meet Satsuki and Kaito, two beautiful souls from Tokyo. You might recall Satsuki from the short film we crafted together during my residency in Tokyo a few years back.
