Get ready to look up, because in less than a week, the skies over Southern Alberta are turning into a massive, floating kaleidoscope! It's time for the iconic Rise Up Hot Air Balloon Festival! From May 21–24, Medicine Hat is hosting this incredible event. With balloons flying around the city during the early morning and twilight, you can bask in the magnificence of these wonders against the beautiful backdrop of the Canadian Badlands! Of course, the cherry on top will be heading down to Kin Coulee Park on Friday and Saturday evening after the sun goes down for the awe-inspiring Balloon Glow, when all of the balloons are lit up against the sky in a symphony to music, while you enjoy the amazing local food trucks and entertainment from the stage! 📍Medicine Hat, Alberta Video and Cover Photo by @colton.mckee For more travel tips and ideas, visit GoCanada.com and subscribe to our newsletter. The countdown is on! There's less than a month left before Vancouver becomes the host city of the FIFA World Cup 2026! 🏃‍♂️🇨🇦⚽️ The city is changing right before our eyes, with the most spectacular, the reimagining of Science World into "The Beautiful Dome," an enormous replica of the official adidas Trionda ball. Standing a over 40 meters tall, you will be able to see it in all its glory when it is completed in June. Beyond the matches at BC Place, you can immerse yourself in the experience of the Soccer & Technology exhibition from the FIFA museum or visit the fan festival at Hastings Park. We are witnessing history unfolding before our eyes as the city's breathtaking mountains and harbour are now the setting for the world's largest sporting event. 📍Vancouver, BC Video by @vanroonfam Cover by @fwc26vancouver For more travel tips and ideas, visit GoCanada.com and subscribe to our newsletter. In the middle of Sunshine Valley, British Columbia, the Hidden Eh A-Frame provides an isolated mountain retreat within minutes of Hope. 🌲✨ You can expect an exquisite combination of classic A-Frame aesthetics and high-end finishes, such as towering windows that bring the forest into your living space and a private hot tub to relax in the starry sky of the Cascade Mountains. Enjoy a peaceful experience that feels far away from the city but close enough to the hiking and other outdoor opportunities in Manning Park. In addition, the crisp air and warmth of the fireplace create a rustic atmosphere that allows you to completely disconnect from the rest of the world. 📍Sunshine Valley, BC Video by @matt_macsemniuk For more travel tips and ideas, visit GoCanada.com and subscribe to our newsletter. Being able to see the immense power of Niagara Falls from this view is something special. 🌊🛸 The Canadian side is home to Horseshoe Falls, where almost 90 percent of Niagara Falls plunges at over 6 million cubic feet of water per minute! For those wanting more out of their visit, try taking a "Journey Behind the Falls," where you can feel the vibrations of the falling water against the rocks, or catch the Niagara City Cruises (known for the iconic red ponchos) during sunrise to avoid crowds. No matter when you visit, Niagara Falls offers something different all year round. 🚨 Fully authorized flight 📍Niagara Falls, Ontario Video by @fpvevan For more travel tips and ideas, visit GoCanada.com and subscribe to our newsletter. There’s nothing quite like golden hour at the Halifax Harbour, when the sky lights up around the rocking sails and the sparkling waters of the Atlantic Ocean. 🌅⚓ If you find yourself on the historic wooden boardwalk, enjoying an outdoor beer, or even just catching a ferry for the best views, the waterfront will always be the ideal place for a no-fuss escape for a night out during spring or summer. There’s nothing like the briny sea air and “vacation vibes” while never actually leaving your hometown. 📍Halifax, Nova Scotia Video by @mattlingley For more travel tips and ideas, visit GoCanada.com and subscribe to our newsletter.

There is something hauntingly beautiful in the sight of the fog from the Atlantic Ocean engulfing the majestic red cliffs of Bell Island, the rough jewel located just off the coast from St. John’s near Portugal Cove. Bell Island is indeed a special place where you will find everything ranging from kayaking adventures inside the mysterious sea caves to the amazing historical experience of exploring layers of industrial history, all wrapped up in one exciting day out. Deep within the wilderness of Kananaskis Country, only a 45-minute drive from Calgary, is a hidden treasure of winter magic: the Canyon Creek Ice Cave. ❄️🏔️ Located in the limestone cliffs of Moose Mountain, your journey begins with a picturesque combination of biking and hiking down the Elbow Valley and culminates in climbing to the mouth of a giant cave entrance reminiscent of the Lord of the Rings' caverns. Within its walls, you'll be treated to a dreamlike subterranean experience of tall ice columns, sparkling stalagmites, and secret passages kept cool throughout the warm months. It's truly an exhilarating sensation of watching daylight disappear into darkness as you explore further into the mountain's icy depths! Safety Tip 🔦✨ The ground can be slick, and the roof may shower rocks, so be sure to wear proper footwear with microspikes and bring a flashlight with you on your expedition! 📍Kananaskis Country, Alberta Video by @brooke.bigalow For more travel tips and ideas, visit GoCanada.com and subscribe to our newsletter.
