SCENTED PANTHER (STUDIO)
Aurelio Di Virgilio
16.09.2025 / 19h
One gee in fog
Rue de Vermont 12
CH-1202 Genève
As part of his residency at one gee in fog, Aurelio opens to the public the research process of Scented Panther, consisting of a choreographed meditation on the medieval figure of the perfumed panther, an animal described in bestiaries and a symbol of embodied poetry, strength, seduction, elusiveness, and resistance. The performance, conceived in collaboration with the performer Elena Sgarbossa, moves between presence and absence, between magic and disenchantment, inviting the audience to follow the traces of an extinct animal, where repetition becomes a tool to reflect on the body, time, and memory.
•

Bienvenue Aurelio — bon travail 🌿

Thank you to everyone who joined us for From Soil to Spirits: Small Rituals of Coming Together.
Your presence, warmth, and attentiveness shaped a space that felt both grounded and open.
Building on this spirit of unfolding connection, we came together around stories, rituals, poems, songs, and meals, where we reached toward tending to sensorial needs, practicing translation, circulating roles, and holding space for imagination. These became gentle tools of collective resistance, also against the standardized binary forms of cultural and countercultural production. We reclaim space for diverse ways of being, loving, and relating not just as an act of survival, but as a way to create worlds beyond the structures that seek to contain us.
A huge acknowledgement to all who co-shaped this gathering: Maryam Jafari Azarmani @m.jafari.azarmani and Vahid Heroabadi @vahidheroabadi3 , invited in collaboration with the fugitive publishing house hhhhh @hhhhhpublishing , along with Beychu Droma @artrepresent and Byungseo Yoo @byungseo_yoo .
This gathering was part of an ongoing process gently nurtured by artist-curator duo Hit Man Gurung and Sheelasha Rajbhandari, shaped in collaboration with Richard Le Quellec, @rotcapli , and @erell._.lp during their residency in Geneva.
This residency is supported by Pro Helvetia New Delhi, in partnership with Embassy of Foreign Artists and One Gee In Fog.

☄️Small Rituals of Coming Together is a quiet continuation of the slow practice of simply being together. Over the past months, Hit Man and Sheelasha have approached their residency as a living, shifting ground for relational exploration. Rooted in conversation, their process has approached collaborations and friendships not as fixed entities, but as fragile, transformative acts, continually co-constructed. Building on this spirit of unfolding connection, we come together around stories, rituals, and meals, where translation, role circulation, and imagination become gentle tools of collective resistance against standardized forms of cultural and countercultural production.

✨From Soil to Spirits : Small Rituals of Coming Together✨
Dreams and speculative visions are acts of reclamation, we reassert our agency and refuse the limitations imposed upon us. In a world where oppressive systems act to control identities, land, and bodies, imagining otherwise is itself resistance.
Where extractive economies benefits from burnout, anxiety, imposter syndrome and isolation,
small rituals of coming together,
friendships,
communal acts,
shared meals,
moments of rest,
collective imagination,
become acts of defiance and healing.
We reclaim space for diverse ways of being, loving, and relating: not just as an act of survival,
but as a way to create worlds beyond the structures that seek to contain us.
