mmm… matcha. from the archives: mmuse (short for matcha muse) was a matcha tea pop-up and brand founded by two matcha-loving friends who wanted to create a sustainable, friendly and local coffee-alternative space. I personally love matcha (don’t tell @peggygou_ ) so to associate the double m with the “mmm” of enjoyment was immediate. It was funky (and fun) to base a whole branding idea on an interjection. what you see is a series of realized and planned assets. the brand is currently breathing space and the pop-up adjourned. here’s hoping for a part two. Thanks to @sinaperis and Marlena for bringing me in and being such cool, inspired clients. The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball Season 7 - Now streaming Intro and Logo by @jacksachs When Jack approached me to design 2D letters for TAWOG, I had no idea we would end up creating a full-fledged typeface for @cartoonnetworkofficial The hand-drawn words “AMAZING WORLD OF” delivered in vector form was the start. The new letters derive from the original set in their anatomy and maintain their previous hand-drawn “oddities”. We then created new lower case and special characters with the learnings taken from drawing the capitals, typesetting tests and analyzing the source material. All glyphs were then compiled and the spacing adjusted in @fontself For a first ever font, not a bad assignment. It speaks for itself that the title cards and end credits for every episode are fully set using the Gumball font. Thank you @jacksachs for trusting me with this. still buzzing with the amazing feedback we got from our second issue, there are a lot of little details and BTS that should also get their chance to shine. Besides taking a closer look at what it really takes to create something new, THE NEUE NEW presents the brand new BMW Vision Neue Klasse, the latest concept car carrying the brand’s new future-oriented philosophy. To tell this story we teamed up with my the great @cristianacouceiro with whom we worked closely – Together we travelled (metaphorically) through the beautiful sights of Tuscany, had some mocktails by the pool and learned what sprezzatura really means. Here’s something new. FREUDE.FOREVER 2: THE NEUE NEW In this second issue, we take a closer look at what it really takes to create something new. We do this with stories from all around the world, featuring people and ideas that shape the world we live in, and help us imagine a better future, including @schwarzenegger , @david_zilber , @fischersund , @iamkawak , @mix.anthropy and many more. All put together working with some of the best creative talent in the business like @tobiasnicolai , @mattiabalsamini , @cristianacouceiro , @marzenaskubatz , and so many others. The issue also features a custom AR cover design, allowing us to add a whole new and immersive layer to our storytelling, beautifully taking the reader through changing perspectives as they first experience and interact with the magazine. What a ride. FREUDE.FOREVER Issue 1 is now out. A new magazine presented by @bmw featuring 132 ad-free pages of inspirational innovation stories and protagonists. Featuring @hanszimmer @shudu.gram @nick_knight @refikanadol @studiomarieaigner @studio.simondogger Jeong Kwan and many others. There’s a lot here to be thankful for – not only for the learnings and happenings, but mostly the people involved. Thanks to @franziska_goppold for bringing me in with a smile, enthusiasm and let me design and contribute to this dream project. I am “forever” grateful.
