Spent the last few months trying to answer a question that always gave me sweaty hands: so, what do you do?
Not the CV version. The real one.
So I did what I always do when something needs clarity — I started writing. Wrote down how I work. What connects the things I do. What I care about. Listed all the absurd job titles that 2026 offers. None of them fit.
Looked for comparisons and found very few. Which, eventually, felt like the answer. And then I called @roderickaichinger
The Munich based photographer who doesn’t just take pictures. He creates the environments for something true to show up. More than I had seen in myself. I’m so grateful for this shoot, and for everyone who accompanied this process. 🤍

for @nytimes Developers are using a new geothermal technology in Germany to produce clean energy. The drilling operation, near Geretsried outside Munich, is using people and equipment from the oil and gas industry, but it aims to harvest heat, not fossile fuels. The approach in Geretsried does not aim to tap into a reservoir of hot water. Instead the plant will pump it‘s own water through giant loops, picking up heat through contact with the rocks deep underground.
Analysts say that this approach, known as “closed-loop” geothermal, has promise because building what resembles an enormous radiator could be done almost anywhere. First pic shows the detail of a brand new drill bit used in Geretsried.
