My debut album "The Thought Of You" turned 10 yesterday and I can't believe it!
I'm so grateful that I got to not only make an album, but that it was so full of love. That the music was created by good friends of mine, that all happen to be ICONIC musicians themselves, is an added blessing. So many parts came together to make it happen under the guidance of @donwas , my sis @supremeuniter , @guyroutte & the entire @bluenoterecords team.
So much has changed in the past 10 years but the constants have been God being amazing, the genuine friendships that I share w everybody on this album, and the blessing that LOVE is, and has been, in my life.
From those of you that have told me about using songs in your weddings, to you who have shared that a song helped you get through a tough day or time.....if you've ever listened to it in any way, THANK YOU!!
I'm BEYOND grateful that you allowed me into your sonic space.
Being able to make music that touches people is a precious gift and a calling, I get to do it for a living and it's something I'll never take for granted.

@djpremier is one of my FAVORITE producers. We often talk about Dilla and jazz but we really don't talk enough about how Primo's beats, scratches, and samples just swing!

I don't have a super recent pic of me and my mom but I do have this video, and it definitely sums up my mother.
My parents got to come visit my new house in Rochester back in November. (more about that later) They pulled up and I ran and got my phone because I saw that she was about to go in as soon as she pulled up!
I'm laughing but I don't take it lightly. 🥹
Prayers from my grandmother got her and her family through Jim Crow South Carolina. Prayers like this from my mom have covered not only me all my life, but also my sisters, my children, her 11 grandchildren, and all the kids under her care as an educator & Asst. Pastor, etc.
I'm proud to say that @revdrnorma is my mom and I'm grateful to still have her love and prayers covering me daily!
