They are part of the foundation of Hip Hop radio broadcasing, hitting the airwaves in May of 1982, shortly after Mr Magic on the same radio station, and a few years before Red Alert and Marley Marl on Kiss and WBLS. If you wanted to catch this show, you had to stay up on a Wednesday morning at 3am! I stayed dialed in as a shorty to ALL the radio shows I could catch back then!
