A huge congratulations to Tyler Bullock and Esteban Castro, the first-ever Larry J. Bell Young Artist Award recipients! 👏🏆 This new honor is a part of the Larry J. Bell Jazz Artist Awards — created to recognize and support the next generation of jazz pianists.
🎶 Tyler is already an emerging force on New York’s jazz scene with performances alongside Dee Dee Bridgewater, Sean Jones, The Roy Hargrove Big Band, and regularly leads his own band in venues around New York City and abroad.
🎼 Esteban is a performer, composer, and the youngest-ever winner of the Montreux Jazz Piano Competition, with national and international performances alongside leading artists such as Ambrose Akinmusire and Billy Drummond.
Together, they embody the artistry, creativity, and excellence this award was designed to celebrate.
