Now Here, Nowhere! (2026), Multichannel Audiovisual Installation.,
Now Here, Nowhere originates from harmonically layered human voices that articulate a world. Expanding from a single musical composition, the work translates sound into space and time through AI-generated video, sound, coded robotic arms, and sculptural elements.
Within this constructed space-time, images and entities appear as repeating structures, echoing musical refrains. The recurring phrase —
“Now here, we are who we are.
Nowhere, there was no one there.
우리는 이 난파선 위에서 춤을 추는 거짓,
우리는 이 난장판 속에서 춤을 추는 멸망.
(We are the lie, dancing on the shipwreck,
We are the ruin, dancing in this wreckage.)” —
anchors the work linguistically and temporally, foregrounding presence over representation. Existence is not fixed but emerges through movement, duration, and spatial occupation.
Technology functions as an extension of perception rather than its replacement. While humans remain observers and regulators, the human voice operates as the primary generative force. Holding reality and simulation, agency and automation in continuous tension, Now Here, Nowhere unfolds as a living system that invites audiences to experience the world as something co-created in real time.
