Meet our resident Nilo @nilosofisch a set designer, who works across a range of projects, from music videos and fashion films to short films, with a special preference to the surreal and imaginative ones. Three years ago, she helped a friend design the set for her graduation film, a chaotic but fun experience that sparked something in her. She realized how much she loved the work, and she hasn’t stopped since. “What I love most is how every project is different, you get to step into someone else’s vision and live inside their fantasy for a while.” When creating a set, Nilo enjoys thinking about the entire picture: the clothing, the characters, the atmosphere. That’s why she loves abstract films, they allow to build complete fiction worlds. Her process is hands-on and intuitive. She prints out scripts, fills them with notes, sketches, and ideas, letting each concept grow from notes to a set.

BERRY in premiere! With great pride we share the filmposter of BERRY, which will premiere during our first event on April 30th! “Thinking back to the past, I feel a warm sense of nostalgia of mother making endless blackberry jam. Even though I found the blackberries much too sour, I wish I could taste those berries once more. In a search for that feeling, I will once again go looking for a blackberry bush. It is glamour, colourful and so fucking happy. At least, that’s what I thought…” In BERRY we see Megan van Engelen as Berry, who explores her romanticised childhood memories. By the endlessly picking and bringing of the berries for the jam which mother is making, Berry realises the blackberry bush is slowly being depleted. The connection between her, mother and child, is being pressurised by the need to find more blackberries. A big shout out to the amazing team ❤️ who made this possible!
