We have a need of finding ways of expression and I need to use my body to do that.
I remember feeling something for textures and the colors in earth, and the way my mind can’t feel the time passing by when I’m focussed making my pots
I like the idea of honouring the time it takes to build something from scratch, the time it takes to create the skill, and then the possibility of that not surviving, it’s just like life itself. And then we get the chance to use that item in our everyday lives, having fragments of people, of lives around us.
This is me working at my studio after years of moving between cities, countries. It feels a bit an ease, a release.
