Can a recipe operate as a prototype for systemic change? Studio DEMO x Serpentine Arts Technologies host a test kitchen to reimagine civic intervention through the lens of food.  Stop by DEMO2026 on June 5 for three @serpentineuk curated test kitchens 🥬 Adriana Gallo: Coagulating Sunlight (@adriggallo ) explores ecologies of labour and metabolic sublimes. Tao Leigh Goffe: Gastropoetics Award-winning writer, theorist and artist Tao Leigh Goffe (@taoleighgoffe , @darklaboratory ) extends her investigation of ‘gastropoetics’ through Afro-Caribbean and Asian foodways, considering fermentation, survival, and nourishment as decolonial praxis.  quori theodor: So Rote It Be (@q_u_o_r_i ) shares a performative exploration of unlearning as a form of insubordination. NEW INC x Just Tech's panel, "From Studio to Study: Artistic Research on AI and Society" asked the audience to challenge the inevitability of our everyday technology, to recognize and deconstruct decisions made before software reaches the user. For our panelists, these decisions look like introducing ambiguity by intentionally delaying program response time or reevaluating agency by replacing 'Alexa' technology with a live human. The talk featured Dorothy Santos (@maestrasantos ), Lauren Lee McCarthy (@laurenleemack ), Romi Morrison (@elegantcollisions ), X.A. Li and moderator Nabiha Syed (@nabihasyed ), Mozilla Foundation President. In partnership with Social Science Research Center @ssrc_org Photos by Jeremy Grier (@jeregrier )
