Creative organisations across Cornwall are offering work experience placements across a range of creative disciplines including screen, music, visual arts, writing and community arts.
Placements are available: Week beginning 6 July 2026 & week beginning 20 July 2026, and available to Year 10 and Year 12 students. Placement eligibility varies.
Opportunities take place across Cornwall including Newquay, Redruth, Penzance and Liskeard.

Students from Curnow School take the spotlight to discuss health and wellbeing – from the importance of healthy school lunches to fun ways to stay active.
They’re also joined by Kate from @hskyouth who shares advice on what to do if you’re feeling down.
📽️ This is truly a student-led project – with young people not only in front of the camera but also behind the scenes, handling filming, sound, set design, and script prep.

🎥🎤 Students from @mountsbayacademy teamed up with @screencornwall to create the first episode of Cornish Youth News!
The idea came from the Annual Conversation, where young people said they wanted to hear more from each other. Their first episode focuses on jobs and skills - after planning, scripting, and learning how to use their equipment, they hit the streets of Penzance to ask people about their careers.

🥳 Open call for new and prospective museum, heritage or cultural professionals and creative freelancers! 🥳
@creativekernowassociates are excited to be running three mentoring groups for new creatives at the beginning of their careers through the @newcreativescornwall project – this open call is for the Museum & Culture Group Mentoring.
Running from 10th to 23rd February 2025, this mentoring opportunity will support and guide those at the early stages of their creative careers working in/with museums and cultural institutions or are interested in doing so. Five selected practitioners will receive one-to-one and group sessions, as well as a group field trip, led by @laurenelcampbell , Engagement Manager at @cornwall_museum .
The mentoring programme is fully funded and there is no cost for the selected mentees to be part of the programme. Travel costs to attend any in-person meet-ups will also be covered and mentees will receive a free 1-year membership with Creative Kernow Associates.
To be eligible to apply for this opportunity, you must be based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
