ACUME - 1997 (link in bio) Now available on Bandcamp, coming soon to all digital platforms 1997 is the debut release of Acume, the project of Diego Risco, a Peruvian producer based in Italy. The album is titled 1997 in reference to the year Diego discovered IDM, as well as the period in which several records were released that would later profoundly influence his approach to music production. Among the albums from that year that shaped his sonic identity are Lunatic Harness by U-ziq, Hard Normal Daddy by Squarepusher, and “Girl/Boy” by Aphex Twin. The name Acume comes from the Latin Acumen, whose synonyms include insight, shrewdness, sharpness, intuition, ingenuity, and style.
