Heeeey mi gente! I’ll be DJ Puma at TPCC’s fundraiser this Sunday with a beautiful Peruvian music selection, like this LP of Grupo Celeste with the legendary voice of Lorenzo Palacios aka Chacalon. I’m gonna play cumbia, salsa and Peruvian folk music from 11:30 am to 1pm. Come and enjoy Peruvian food, music, art and be part of our community. 🇵🇪 @perutpcc 📍 19th & shotwell st. . Este domingo estaré como dj Puma en la actividad pro fondos para TPCC y tengo una bonita selección de música peruana para ustedes, como este LP del Grupo Celeste con la mítica voz de Lorenzo Palacios mejor conocido como Chacalon. Una tarde en Pisac después de haber tomado la medicina vi brillar el maizal con los rayos del sol, mientras sonaba el saxofón de algún desconocido. Huachuma (Trichocereus/Echinopsis pachanoi), también conocida como aguacolla, hahuacollay, pachanoi, achuma, andachuma o wachuma, es una medicina ancestral que proviene del cactus San Pedro y está compuesta principalmente de mescalina, un alcaloide psicodélico que también se encuentra en el peyote (otro cactus psicodélico de Norteamérica). El uso del cactus San Pedro en Perú se remonta a más de 4000 años. Existe evidencia arqueológica encontrada en una región cercana a la Cordillera Blanca, antigua cuna de la cultura Chavín, que demuestra el uso ancestral de la huachuma en esa región. . I painted one of the most beautiful memories I have about one of my trips to Cusco. The use of the San Pedro cactus in Peru can be traced back over 4000 years.
