Happy 100th birthday to Sir David Attenborough. A true inspiration, a defining voice for generations, and a remarkable example of generosity of spirit. His lifelong work has helped millions see the beauty, fragility and importance of the natural world more clearly, and inspired so many to protect it. Our own Professor Gail Whiteman shared this 2019 photo with the only caption it needs: “Best selfie ever!” #HappyBirthdaySirDavid #DavidAttenborough #BestSelfieEver #Nature #ClimateAction

Senior Research Impact Fellow for Food Systems, @josh_c_ayers , joined food innovators and entrepreneurs at HackSummit in #Switzerland last month, to explore the role of alternative flavours in a food system stressed by climate change 🌾 In case you missed it, here’s his take on the conversation ⬇️ Substitutes for our favourite flavours – like coffee and chocolate – could help relieve pressure on climate-vulnerable growing regions, but they need to be part of a wider resilience strategy. That means pairing innovation with long-term investment in farming communities and regenerating landscapes. Not bypassing the real people and places behind our food 🧑‍🌾 @uniofexeter #SaveTheFlavours #HackSummit2026 #FoodHack #UnleashImpact #SaveChocolate #SaveCoffee

Yesterday’s launch of the RENEW Biodiversity C-Suite Guide for Nature-Positive Business Strategy, co-authored by Prof Ryan Nolan, Prof Noel Morrin, and Prof @gail.whiteman , brought together academics and business leaders for a timely discussion about the business case for nature. Here are the highlights of the conversation: ⏱️ Waiting is riskier than acting: when nature loss poses a material risk to business, investing in nature early carries a competitive advantage. 🔍 Seeing is believing. Real-word examples, lived experiences, and direct exposure creates the emotional shift needed to move leaders from awareness to action. 📊 Progress doesn’t require perfect data. A pragmatic, “learning by doing” approach beats waiting for the perfect metric. ⚙️ System change means escaping silos. Non-traditional partnerships between business, academia, NGOs and policymakers builds mutual understanding and momentum. Curious about how this applies to your organisation’s nature strategy? Download the guide via the link in bio 🔗 Thanks to contributors: Mark Johnston, Emma Weaver @uniofexeter @uofebusiness #UnleashImpact #Biodiversity #NaturePositiveBusiness #ESG

Can you imagine children as young as 3 years old having a “skincare routine”? Well, you don’t need to— The #ToddlerSkincare TikTok trend has gotten out of hand. Hundreds of children are posting skincare routines and reviews that suspiciously resemble traditional influencer partnership videos. Kids are being promoted anti-aging, dermatologically-tested skincare, which can be harmful to their skin. And most brands are staying silent. Would you allow your kids to have a skincare routine?💭 #TikTok #InternetRegulations #ProtectTheKids #SkinCare
