Where Nature is Queer: (Re)imagining Sinophone Care & Possibilities To confront human supremacy over nature and Han supremacy with/in and beyond the Chinese community, our photo series explores how fluid, reciprocal and queer relationships can inform our connection to the land and challenge colonial violences. We explore… Inheritance: Whose ecologies, embodied knowledges, and histories are valued and devalued? What legacies, traditions and paradoxes do we inherit as queer Sinophone people? Responsibilities: What are our responsibilities to challenge and reimagine imposed colonial binaries (ex. Human vs nature, queer vs Chinese, East vs West) and ethnic/racial supremacies? How can Han supremacy and trans/queerphobia be recognized, disrupted, and denaturalized? Transformation: What do we desire to reclaim and reshape from these legacies, traditions, and paradoxes?
