I spoke to the Evening Standard about the ethical minefield of AI in the film industry. That pesky robot has no capacity to feel sad or horny so fret not, it won’t have capacity to make great art. Used with transparency, it’s just another weapon in a filmmaker’s arsenal against the clock and the dollar. Right??? Thanks @willjhosie @thelondonstandard

Imagine this yeah, it’s a normal day of work. I’ve designed a set for a @converse campaign. But one of the models got sick and all of a sudden I’m whisked into hair and makeup. Next thing I know my very own brother (and prop master) is blowing a leaf blower through my hair for 11 hours whilst I’m in the shortest skirt legally possible to wear under EU advertising law. It’s an odd sensation to be plastered across billboards in London, Paris, New York and Bangkok. I hope my big face convinces you to buy a pair of these trainers. When I was a little sprout my parents had a cahntry hewm in Salisbury. They let this bloke called James live in a den in the woods. He was the real deal, a proper Bear Grylls type. He could tell how close a deer was from the heat of its shit. Then he could show you how to turn that deer into dinner. He was my professor dumbledore, my master yoda, he taught me how to stand dead still in the river and stab unsuspecting trout with a wooden spear. I grew up and got one of those job things - working in the set design department of BBC drama Killing Eve. Anyway, it was up to me to find the weapons for the bushcraft assassin in the season finale. I knew just the man for the job. But how to find a man that doesn’t want to be found? There he was, on facebook of all places. Badaboombadabing. We were back in business. Isn’t life a trip! Also, thanks to the genius of @mikebritton + @luciennesuren and the rest of the crew we won best production design! He’s vanished back into forrest now. But I’m still out here, hire me if you want cool props innit. love Molly xx
