The concept for the video came about after experiencing a series of depressive freezes~ I realized while I stood motionless in the living room for what seemed like 20 minutes, that I had been suspended in several little vignettes around the house that day- locked in a stare, mind blank- while trying to keep my sh*t together cleaning the house. The scenes are mid-action, attention taken away from whatever activity, caught in that state of being firmly planted while somehow slipping out of body.

@josh_evert_ had the idea to shoot the video in the stripped down remains of my house after the fire. By the second day of shooting, we had scraped together a few lights and began to experiment with shadows cast by all the exposed studsā¦ the result was a poetic visual rendering of living through a dark time, seeing yourself only in flashes.
Josh filmed the whole thing and we edited it together.
