FilmLaab proudly presents: our 2025 showreel—Vol 02. This represents the culmination of a year of ground-breaking work, mind-bending creative, and concerted effort from our entire team.
Our showreel highlights over 37 client projects and a few pieces we did just for ourselves. It’s designed to show our range and our love for good cinema. But, it also marks a new beginning for FilmLaab.
This is next iteration of FilmLaab’s story, Vol 02: Avant Garde. We are the differentiators. The benders of will through creative force. You won’t just witness what’s next, you’ll feel it.
Check out the 4K version (link in bio).
40.6 miles. 11 hours and 51 minutes. Zion 60K is done. And I did it with my dad and brothers. All of us expected to be dead last on this one (@deadlast.run )
I’d never run a marathon before this. So naturally, my first one happened somewhere around mile 26 of a 40-mile ultra with terrain that does not care about your feelings.
I don’t think enough of us give ourselves time to just be alone with our thoughts. No podcast. No scroll. Just you and whatever comes up.
What came up for me was my family. Rhodes running out to the car in his little blue shoes the morning I left, saying he wanted to come run with me. Olive telling me she’s glad we are so similar. Meagan being my true inspiration with trying to get healthy and better. That didn’t leave me for a single mile.
I ran this at the heaviest I’ve been in about a year (215) // I blame the massive amount of stress we’ve been under from the hectic year we’ve had at @filmlaab //
Saw some incredible views. Taped blisters on the trail. Lost my hat to a wind gust. Watched Talmage drop at mile 18. Told Dad and Luke to go on ahead without me. And then somehow got a second wind at mile 32.
I caught my dad, Luke, and Paul at the last aid station and we all brought it home together.
Do hard things before you’re ready, in the process you’ll grow so much more.
Us Thaynes aren’t afraid of hard things. And I love that about our family culture.
Full race video is on my YouTube.
Thanks for doing this with me @drtimthayne / @talmagethayne / @graysonthayne / @lukebwilde / @halsten_thayne / @paul_bailey_ut
The BTS vs moments from the final edit.
Really proud of this piece our team at @filmlaab put together for @oathnutrition
Rigging these shots and removing in post was a challenge, but the end result is worth all the hours and the work. Great work boys @graysonthayne@bransonbowler@jason_soriano12@neuenick
Another episode is live on my YouTube channel! This goes through a BTS of shooting for @deadlast.run restock of the Aerogrid Pullover in San Francisco. Stoked about how YouTube is coming along. Go check it out in my bio.
Had a good time ripping some shots in San Francisco for @deadlast.run latest restock on our Aerogrid pullovers. Great creating with my brother, @graysonthayne
Documenting the process a bit more closely. Building @deadlast.run and utilizing my creative background to do so has been way too fun.
Dropped a video on my YouTube showing the BTS of this shoot and the final edit for this campaign (as well as some updates on my training) go check it out.
Thanks for helping film @austinkbrady
I said yes to something that scares me: an ultra marathon that happens in 4 weeks. I made a video about it on my YT. (Finally putting time into that and documenting the journey)
Stills from our race capsule we launched today for @deadlast.run // so fun creating things for us and seeing how our friends respond. Thanks for supporting.
