Danny and @kateparfet ’s home, located in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Mount Washington, was built in the early 1950s by a designer who lavished attention on its hand-carved, hand-finished wood cabinetry, doors, windows, and architectural details. It is a place that radiates warmth and soul, exquisitely in harmony with its sylvan setting.

Nestled in the embrace of nature, our custom-built cabin offers an idyllic retreat from the bustle of the city. Step inside the 120 sq ft deer cabin through a hand-carved front door from the custom-built front porch, where you’ll be greeted by hardwood floors, a queen bed with a hand-carved Mongolian headboard, and floor-to-ceiling windows that offer stunning views of the natural surroundings.
The cathedral ceilings feature diamond cut-out skylights, allowing the sun to stream in and bathe the space in a warm glow. A magnificent stained glass butterfly chandelier hangs in the center of the ceiling, casting a shimmering light throughout the room. The petrified wood nightstands are adorned with two more stained glass butterfly lamps, creating a peaceful and harmonious ambiance.
The exterior of the cabin boasts a rustic living edge design, crowned with a hand-carved deer head, making this a truly unforgettable place to experience the beauty and tranquility of nature.
