n a t u r e of things ep twenty two ventures to the oasis that is @mollysedlacek home nestled in highland park, the living laboratory for her landscape design studio @orcaliving grounded in a mission to re/connect humans with the earth. Her green thumb and construction sensibility is a masterclass in poetry and art, channeling the natural materials in their rawest form with the lightest footprint possible. we explore the importance of native planting as it intertwines with buying seasonal and local produce, two sides of the same intentional sustainable coin, and we put her gorgeous outdoor custom crafted firepit to cooking use for the first time (fire is fire, after all). using all parts of the beloved fig including the leaves growing in her own backyard is the full circle experience that epitomizes what it means to live regeneratively.
