Spotlight: @ericweildesigns Total balance. Eric Weil is a Brooklyn-based furniture designer with more than two decades of practice at the intersection of structure and sculpture. At Afternoon Light, he debuts the Carlo Collection — inspired by Italian architect Carlo Scarpa — pairing concrete with glass and metal, stone and paper. Dense and tactile against soft and transient. Grounded against weightless. Everything made by hand in his Greenpoint studio, from mold to finish. No two pieces exactly alike. Designed to be lived with. ✉️ VIP Preview: May 16 🗓 May 17–19, 2026 📍 161 Water Street, Lower Manhattan 🎟 afternoonlight.com #AfternoonLightDesignFair #ALDF2026 #NYCxDesign #NYDesignWeek #AfternoonLight

Spotlight: @oliviabarrybyhand Light in form. Olivia Barry makes handmade ceramic lighting in her Tarrytown, NY studio — each piece sculpted to conceal the bulb within the form itself, letting illumination diffuse through the object rather than from it. At Afternoon Light, she debuts Slim, her most streamlined design yet: an elongated, continuous line that casts a soft, controlled glow. Also new: the Studio line — compact editions of her iconic Scroll and Wing sconces, developed for powder rooms, guest rooms, and bedside settings. Restraint as a design language. Beautifully executed. ✉️ VIP Preview: May 16 🗓 May 17–19, 2026 📍 161 Water Street, Lower Manhattan 🎟 afternoonlight.com #AfternoonLightDesignFair #ALDF2026 #NYCxDesign #NYDesignWeek #AfternoonLight

Spotlight: @quartered_nyc By hand. Quartered is a New York furniture studio designing and building original pieces that balance technical precision with the presence of the maker. Their debut: a low, rectilinear coffee table hand-painted in six distinct colorways, with a glossy base coat that sharpens every brushstroke, graphic and tactile at once. A discreet push-to-open drawer holds small curiosities or the devices of daily life. Color compositions drawn from the work of Sanza Wada, no two tables are identical. ✉️ VIP Preview: May 16 🗓 May 17–19, 2026 📍 161 Water Street, Lower Manhattan 🎟 afternoonlight.com #AfternoonLightDesignFair #ALDF2026 #NYCxDesign #NYDesignWeek #AfternoonLight

Spotlight: @dustydeco Old soul. Dusty Deco began as a love affair with flea markets — founders Edin and Lina Kjellvertz traveling the world, collecting rare and unique pieces until their home and storage ran out of room. Ten years in, the Swedish duo closed the vintage chapter and started a new one: their own collection of furniture, rugs, and objects made with the same storytelling, originality, and passion for craft that started it all. ✉️ VIP Preview: May 16 🗓 May 17–19, 2026 📍 161 Water Street, Lower Manhattan 🎟 afternoonlight.com #AfternoonLightDesignFair #ALDF2026 #NYCxDesign #NYDesignWeek #AfternoonLight

Spotlight: @kln_studio_nyc Uptown, downtown. KLN Studio was founded in 2019 by Sam Keene, James Lepkowski, and Toby Newman — a Brooklyn-based design and fabrication studio making handmade furniture, mirrors, and lighting to order. Their sensibility: playful shapes, traditional materials, contemporary form and color. At Afternoon Light, KLN debuts a limited collection of sculptural tables produced from old growth pine beams salvaged from a former horse stable in Harlem. Material with a century of stories, transformed into something entirely new.
