A design conscious weekend in Copenhagen. Here are seven places to go for the aesthetically minded traveller in the Danish capital. BOOKMARK now. 🛏️ stay @audocph - known best for its architectural furniture Audo is a concept store and boutique hotel in the fast-growing Nordhavn neighbourhood. 🍴eat @restaurantkadeau . The interior of the two-Michelin-starred Kadeau Copenhagen was designed by the Danish design practice @oeo_studio and blends Scandinavian craftsmanship with Japanese minimalism. The food is, of course, beautiful and thoughtful. 🥐 baked goods @riviera_cph - super chic brunch and bakery spot. We loved the cookie and pain au raisin but the Danish breakfast plate looked great too if you are after something more local. 🏰 wander round @theroundtower - one of Denmark’s most iconic landmarks. The building has a distinctive Spiral Ramp, which leads to a spectacular 360-degree view of the city, the journey up is equally picturesque. 🛒 shop @framacph - timeless design and crafted products made with the finest materials all housed within a historic apothecary. ☕️ coffee @lacabracoffee - originally from Aarhus La Cabra now has two sites in Copenhagen, the Møntergade café is in collaboration with fashion brand Another Aspect and is sleek and stylish while serving some of the best, speciality coffee in town. 🖼️ art @louisianamuseum - it’s worth the hour train out for town for this destination gallery. Founded by art collector Knud W. Jensen the museum’s iconic modernist architecture was designed by Danish architects Jørgen Bo and Wilhelm Wohlert. These are the 10 sandwiches I crave in London. BOOKMARK now. 🥪 @mondo.sandwiches - Mondo supply the South of London with generously packed, inventive sandwiches. The Mondo Frango is a fan favourite - peri-peri chicken thigh, pea salsa verde, shrettuce (shredded lettuce), peri mayo, and matchstick fries. 🥓 @claridgeshotel Bakery - Richard Hart’s bread is unbeatable and it makes for a pretty epic sandwich. Get your hands on a bit of five star magic with their daily signature sandwiches (£9-16) or one of their legendary Bacon baps. 🍑 @chatsworthbakehouse - Released each Monday at 12.30pm in limited numbers the sarnies sell—out instantly - chunky foccacia stuffed with high quality ingredients. Flavour combinations are irresistible like ‘The Peach on the Beach’ (mortadella, roasted yellow peaches, fresh fior di latte, mozzarella, crunchy pumpkin seed pesto). 🍞 @thedustyknuckle - Renowned for their unbeatable bread the DK sarnies are the best. I’m particularly impressed with the veggie option like the Roasted aubergine with Tahini sauce, with spiced mango chutney. 🌶️ @finks.london I love everything Fink’s create - the KFC sandwich is unmissable (buttermilk Korean fried chicken, gochujang, cabbage, cucumber and kewpie mayo). 🍗 @harleys.hampstead_ - Known for their rotisserie chicken Harley’s offer a trio of lunchtime sandwiches - each loaded with their delicious rotisserie chicken. 🧆 @pockets_uk - Arrive before 11am to avoid queuing for the fluffy pitas steaming hot stuffed with crispy falafel balls, fried potato, sauces, herbs & chilli. 🥙 @Logmaldn now do evening suppers but it’s the vibrant spiced sandwiches that got them on the map. Sourdough pittas stuffed with either kofte or roasted aubergine.  🫔 @toklas_london - The brand new Roman style sandwiches are now on the counter - expect brilliant flavour combinations like Anchovy, Stracciatella & Pickled Lemon. 🥯 @banookbagels - Peckham’s handmade bagels filled with delicious fillings. Most flock for the smoked salmon but I loved the simple ‘Cucumber one’ (Open-face bagel with cream cheese &!thinly sliced cucumber). Over in East @paposbagels is great too. Vietnamese fix. Five Vietnamese restaurants in London I love. BOOKMARK now and send to your Pho-loving friend. 🇻🇳 @banhbanh.london - authentic food and sleek design in Brixton. This charming spot on Coldharbour Lane has been designed by uber-cool @houseofbaby.studio in a dusty pink with accents of vivid turquoise and hand painted frescoes. The menu is wholesome and classic - summer rolls and family style platters with meat and diy wraps. 🥖 @cothanhlondon - in Covent Garden is inspired by Nguyễn Thị Thành—“The Lunch Lady” of Ho Chi Minh City— discovered by Anthony Bourdain. It is stylish street food - aromatic and herb-driven. I loved the Bún Bò Huế (a deeply savoury beef and pork broth with meats, vermicelli and herbs) and all the desserts - take friends and share a few dishes - it’s all so good. They make a great Banh Mi at lunchtime too. 🌿 @songquecafe - This Dalston diner is a veteran of Vietnamese dining in London. The no fuss restaurant has been around for more than 20 years and is known for its slow-cooked pho, but the rest of the menu is great too from beef wrapped in betel leaves to crispy pancakes. 🍡 @lairai.london - modern and fun take on Vietnamese cuisine, small plates and killer ice-cream flavours in the heart of Peckham. Bánh mi and viet coffee is available in the daytime. 🍲 @phat_phuc_noodle_bar - this cheap eat Chelsea institution has been serving bowls of flavourful noodles and steaming broth since the late 90’s. Speciality coffee is having another moment in London, here’s FIVE new (to me) hidden gems I recommend checking out. BOOKMARK for your next caffeine fix. ☕️ It’s work trekking to Fish Island for @simmoscoffee - a great speciality coffee shop serving @module.roast . The cafe design is calm but buzzy and it’s full of keen coffee fans. ☕️ Runners and coffee lovers unite at @kneesupspace , the spacious modern space on the Hackney Road. There is a running apparel boutique on site and coffee is made using a range of carefully selected beans. I love the @frizbeeceramics the coffee is served in too. ☕️ @pavillionpressnews is a ruby red, tiny cafe space in Chelsea. The walls are adorned with cool books and zines and the coffee (though expensive) is perfectly poured, particularly good accompanied by one of their sweet treats. ☕️ Daydreamer in Honor Oak is the newest cafe by @elsewhere_coffee , the South London roaster based in Deptford. The clean minimalist branding in the cafes is inviting and refreshing and the coffee is delicious. ☕️ @workshopcoffee Belgravia, a spacious stylish space from the Workshop roastery. Just opened and kitted out with an academy space. Pastries from @st.john.restaurant and a great brunch menu alongside their reliably good coffee. Where to eat in STOKE NEWINGTON… I feel like I’ve been travelling South to East a lot recently… and most of the culinary culprits seem to be residing in Stoke Newington - here’s the 12 places I recommend checking out for every occasion in this vibrant neighbourhood- everything from brunch to bakeries, pubs, coffee shops and everything in between. BOOKMARK now. 🍳 @estersn16 - I love this local spot for great coffee and amazing brunch. 🥐 @finks.london - One of my best bakeries has opened in Clissord Park. Grab a coffee and croissant to go before a wander round the park. 🌮 @sonora.ldn - specialising in North Western Mexican food, capturing the authentic spirit of this amazing cuisine. 🫜 @biancaslondon - Can’t spot raving about this lovely neighbourhood restaurant from the @casafofo team. Clever seasonal cooking and a great wine list. 🍞 @jolene_newingtongreen - Bakery with benefits… delicious bread, cakes, pastries and restaurant menu. 🍷 @cadetlondon - Wine bar charcuterie and a cave-à-manger style kitchen helmed by head chef Mike Murphy, with a daily changing menu. 🍕 @bar.etna.london Etna - Brand new pizza spot from Plimsoll team & Philadelphia favourite - Joe Beddia’s first restaurant outside the US. 🍯 @TheGoodEgg - An oldie but a goodie. Middle Eastern - New York style brunch. 🍻 @theclarencetavern - Classic Victorian-era London pub, The Clarence Tavern comes with a real characterful charm, a covered garden and great refined pub food. 🍅 @primeur_restaurant - Located in a converted 80-year-old garage, Primeur offers a daily-changing, ingredient-led menu, natural wines, and a cozy atmosphere with communal tables. 🍢 Rasa N16 - Authentic and comforting Keralan cuisine @rasarestaurants . 🍦@gelateriarg - Traditional Italian gelato made on site. Cocktail bars I love. Save now, sip later. 🍸 @catocoventgarden , Covent Garden for synthesia inspired cocktails that are beautifully clean on the palate. 🍸 Forever unbeatable - @theconnaught for the signature martini made in front of you from the trolley. 🍸 East London’s Bauhaus hang-out @a_bar_with_shapes_for_a_name_ pours perfectly thoughtful and deliciously concocted drinks. 🍸 @threesheetsbars has arrived in Soho and there are few better places for a cocktail. 🍸 @terminisoho will always be the place to go for a negroni. 🍸 @lyanessbar on the River ~ for superme cocktails by Ryan Chetiyawardana (AKA Mr Lyan). 🍸 @tayer_elementary in Dalston is still a great place for cocktail lovers wanting something I little different. Head to Tayer for the experimental and exciting drinking experience. And they take walk ins. Tag your favourite place for a cocktail tipple below!

Without a doubt one of my favourite meals this year so far, @auguste__london has a perfectly balanced menu which satisfies, excites and comforts. I loved it all but particularly the coffee caramel tart which was truly exceptional. With my best dinner gal @giovannaryan . 🍹 Camparino (Campari, Fever-tree soda, Lemon oil) 🍢 Arrosticini ~ Salt Marsh lamb and Earl Stonham Wagyu 🫛 Green asparagus, fresh peas & wild garlic 🍅 Stracciatella, yellow datterini, pepperonata 🍝 Caramelised onion and soft cheese capolletti in lamb brodo ☕️ Mascarpone, spiced rum & coffee caramel tart 🍧 Rhubarb semifreddo, vanilla crumble, jam Save and visit at the first opportunity!

Particularly loved the pasta, meat skewers and chocolate dessert. 🍝 @tiella_trattoria a wholesome and homely trattoria from @dara.klein on Columbia Road. 🍻 @goldentooth.pub the @papi.restaurant team have team have taken over an Islington pub and are serving up a menu of flavoursome treats. 🍳 @tealbysallyabe - a tiny dining room in Hackney serving nostalgic British food by @littlechefsally . 🥟 @wontoncharlies & @cafe.kowloon - East London wonton fix in the daytime, neon-lit Cantonese diner by night. 🍞 @sessa.london local gem in Herne Hill - open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
