@elise_robinson and @sarahjeannestyles for making Harriette and Riley and the set look good.
Thanks @vaultrentals for making it possible.
Some words about the film from Harriette: “Nice Guy is a short, cautionary tale about the quiet ways women are expected to cater to men - even when it goes against their own best interests. The story follows a young woman simply existing in her own space, when she’s confronted by a man with a seemingly simple goal: to walk in a straight line for as far as he can. When that line leads him to her back door, his insistence that she step aside - so he can fulfill his mission - escalates into something far more dangerous. This short film challenges viewers to examine the unchecked will of straight white men and suggests that toxic masculinity doesn’t only reveal itself through headline-grabbing acts of violence or assault. It’s also embedded in everyday behaviors, entitlements, and expectations that too often go unchallenged.”
The Dolphins
Directed by: @gabyscotts
Had the opportunity to be asked to be the cinematographer on this project years ago early on when Gaby and I had become friends. We’ve had the opportunity to work on my projects together over the years, and this one was a great joy. So happy to see this doc come to life! Thanks to the Dolphin Club for welcoming us in to your space.
