Go behind the scenes as members of the @metoperaballet —alongside featured soloists @cara_seymour_ and @taylor___stanley —prepare @latarro ’s choreography for the breathtaking dance scene in Act II of Verdi’s ever-popular masterpiece.

A moment of magic, honed over 20 years 🪭
Anthony Minghella’s classic production of Puccini’s Madama Butterfly has captivated audiences since its premiere in 2006. For two decades, the role of the solo geisha dancer has been performed by @metoperaballet ’s Hsin-Ping Chang.
We caught up with her to hear about working with the late, great director and how she prepares for a performance.
