INTRODUCING... BALAM BALAM PLACE
We’re proud to announce the completion of Balam Balam Place – a transformative cultural and creative precinct that now stands as a beacon of community pride and architectural excellence in Brunswick.
Delivered in partnership with Merri-bek City Council, Kennedy Nolan Architects, Donald Cant Watts Corke (DCWC) and a wide team of committed stakeholders, this landmark project involved the adaptive reuse of a 134-year-old heritage building alongside the construction of a striking new five-storey contemporary structure.
Now home to the renewed Blak Dot Gallery, maternal and child health services, creative studios, galleries, workspaces and more, Balam Balam Place reflects the powerful intersection of culture, care, and creativity.
We’re honoured to have played a key role in building a place where community and Country come together.

PROJECT COMPLETE: Eva & Marc Besen Centre at TarraWarra Museum of Art
It is with great pride that we announce the successful completion of the Eva & Marc Besen Centre at TarraWarra Museum of Art.
🖼️✨ This bold new addition to the iconic museum provides visual storage and permanent exhibition space for over 300 modern and contemporary artworks. The 2,200m2 space boasts an open art rack system with top-notch environmental controls, plus a multi-purpose area perfect for exhibitions, workshops, and performances.
Set on a logistically challenging hillside, the building itself has a beautiful design that blends with the natural landscape, featuring curved precast panels, a stunning steel and glass façade, and a one-of-a-kind suspended car park.
Constructed with strict soundproofing consideration and stringent air-tightness and climate control requirements – the building is the perfect home for the TWMA’s permanent collection.
We are so proud of our team’s hard work on this architectural masterpiece, and encourage you to go check it out and explore the new home for art at TarraWarra! 🎨

Castlemaine’s historic Goods Shed has officially entered its next chapter. 🚉✨
Set directly alongside an active rail corridor, this redevelopment required a highly considered approach from day one. With an operational VicTrack easement on one side and nearby residential areas on the other, works were delivered within a restrictive footprint that demanded careful sequencing, detailed planning, and constant stakeholder coordination.
All works within the live rail environment were managed under strict safety protocols and permit conditions, ensuring full compliance with both rail and construction standards while keeping the corridor operating safely throughout delivery.
A unique project, delivered with the care and respect a site like this deserves.

Proudly delivered back in 2025, the Traralgon Youth Prevention & Recovery Care (YPARC) Centre is now providing vital 24/7 mental health support for young people aged 16–25 across the Gippsland region. 💛
Designed to feel safe, supportive and genuinely welcoming, this purpose-built facility creates an environment where recovery can thrive.
The new 10-bed residential centre includes:
🛏️ Private bedrooms with ensuites, supporting comfort, dignity and independence
🛋️ Warm, home-like communal spaces that encourage connection and routine
