Behind the scenes of making our new single Do You Remember?
Slide 1: Foley tracking his vocal part in the studio (wait for the absolute roar & the end!)
Slide 2: the first session writing this song with @maxhellyeah90 with Patty coming up with the vocal mid sandwich.
Slide 3: recording gang vocals.
Slide 4: Ali tracking that sweet bass part.
The first video is taken from our album documentary “We Fucked It Up & Called it Art: The Making Of /\\\\/“ by @ashleabeaphoto , a full 40 minute doc available exclusively with the KiT format of the album alongside all our iPhone camera roll footage from the recording.
Making this album was the most fun we’ve ever had in the studio and i think you’ll see that from the documentary!
Big addition to this one… 👀
We’re buzzing to announce Max Helyer (You Me At Six) is joining us at the Ryan Lawrie Songwriting Retreat at La Sierra Casa 🇪🇸
A huge part of the sound behind one of the UK’s most successful rock bands of the last 15+ years, Max brings serious pedigree — from massive chart records and world tours to shaping songs that have defined a generation.
But what makes this special…
Max isn’t just a performer — he’s a top-tier songwriter & producer, with a deep understanding of how to take an idea from a rough demo to something release-ready. Whether it’s arrangement, tone, structure, or that final 10% that makes a track hit, he’s got it covered.
At the retreat, you’ll get: – The chance to write with Max – Insight into real-world songwriting & production at the highest level – Honest feedback and guidance from someone who’s lived it
– A proper look behind the curtain of how records actually come together
Paired with Ryan Lawrie, this is shaping up to be one of our strongest retreats yet.

@youmeatsixofficial the final nights of six - 1 year on (b&w pt.2).
i’ve been thinking a lot about the experiences i shared with these guys, spanning 8 years. clubs in eu, academy’s and arenas across the uk, headlining download second stage, rock am ring main stage, reading festival main stage multiple times, headlining the slam dunk sites for the sinners shows, various promo bits out and about, their final ever press shoot and more. my time with the band really helped me hone my craft and lead to further opportunities, including my work with joss stone.
very grateful to the gang for having me back again and again, for the memories and for the friendship 💘 lots of love to you all and you should be endlessly proud of the amazing legacy you’ve built.
this is the fourth & final in a short series of posts from these shows.
a selection of my images from the final nights of six can also be found in the tour photobook, available via the bands webstore.

@youmeatsixofficial the final nights of six - 1 year on (colour).
something I’ll never forget about these shows is the distinct shift in atmosphere going in to each show. brixton felt like a classic london show with the band. everyone is stoked and well up for it, business as usual. wembley night one: pure euphoria. the band are on cloud 9, the highest energy I’ve seen from them going in to a show. totally relaxed while also in their element (see slide 2). then that final wembley show… honesty the closest thing I can compare it to is the feeling in the room when you have gathered with a group of people that are about to enter a funeral together (see slide 10). I’ve never felt anything quite like it outside of that context. a beautifully sad moment.
this is the third in a short series of posts from these final shows.
