As the stylist, I wanted to style a look that felt like the human embodiment of the sun. Powerful, radiant, dramatic, and impossible to ignore.
The inspiration came from solar energy itself, the glow, the fire, the intensity, and the way the sun naturally becomes the center of attention without asking for permission. I wanted every detail of the look to reflect that feeling.
The crystals and gold textures were used to mimic rays of sunlight bursting outward, while the flowing structure around the body was designed to feel like energy in motion. Nothing about this look was meant to feel still or ordinary. It had to look alive.
And because @chiomagoodhair is naturally extra and carries such a strong presence, the styling had to match her energy.
This wasn’t about wearing a beautiful dress for me, it was about creating a visual experience that felt grand, powerful, and unforgettable.
The goal was simple, to make her look like she didn’t just stand in the light… but that she is the light.

We wanted to represent the people of the Anioma community through their rich and diverse cultural heritage, with special emphasis on the masquerade tradition and the iconic Akocha fabric. The inspiration also draws subtly from the biblical reference to the “Coat of Many Colours,” symbolizing identity, honor, and expression.
While deeply rooted in tradition, the look maintains a modern interpretation of the Delta Igbo bride — blending culture, storytelling, texture, and contemporary design into one visual narrative.
