As the stylist, I wanted to style a look that felt like the human embodiment of the sun. Powerful, radiant, dramatic, and impossible to ignore.
The inspiration came from solar energy itself, the glow, the fire, the intensity, and the way the sun naturally becomes the center of attention without asking for permission. I wanted every detail of the look to reflect that feeling.
The crystals and gold textures were used to mimic rays of sunlight bursting outward, while the flowing structure around the body was designed to feel like energy in motion. Nothing about this look was meant to feel still or ordinary. It had to look alive.
And because @chiomagoodhair is naturally extra and carries such a strong presence, the styling had to match her energy.
This wasn’t about wearing a beautiful dress for me, it was about creating a visual experience that felt grand, powerful, and unforgettable.
The goal was simple, to make her look like she didn’t just stand in the light… but that she is the light.

This Edo inspired set was created to feel like a sacred royal chamber, a space where tradition, femininity, power, and legacy meet. The deep bronze and earthy tones represent the richness of Benin heritage, while the sculptural pillars symbolize strength, ancestry, and royalty. Every detail in the space was intentional, the carved textures echo ancient palace walls, the golden vessels reflect wealth and honor, and the circular woven mat grounds the entire story in culture and identity.
For @official_mercyeke traditional look, the set became more than a background, it became part of the character she embodied.
Mercy is known for elegance, confidence, and commanding presence, so the Edo set was designed to mirror those qualities. Instead of creating something overly modern or loud, the direction leaned into timeless African luxury. The warm lighting wraps around her like royalty, while the symmetry of the set frames her as the centerpiece almost like a queen stepping into a ceremonial hall.
The statues and gold accents tell the story of heritage being preserved, while the elevated stage suggests status and reverence. Even the empty space in the center was intentional it allows the outfit and the woman wearing it to own the narrative completely.
This set says:
“She is not just wearing tradition. She is carrying legacy with grace.”
Thank you to every single person that worked with me on this. You all are amazing!
