World Rowing Beach Sprint Finals — Antalya, Turkey It took me longer than expected to write this because this week has moved me in ways that are hard to describe. This world championship touched my core at every level. I was surrounded by the most amazing athletes, giving everything they had in every round, every sprint, every millisecond. How fortunate I am to coach and mentor this USA @usrowing SuperTeam, a group that trusted the process, believed in each other, and carried that belief all the way through the final stroke and step of every race. The results are extraordinary, but they are only the cherry on top. What I take with me is what we have built together: the culture, the unity, the relentless spirit. That is what makes this team truly golden. It’s not only 2024, it’s the whole process that comes from 2021, our first participation in a Beach Sprint competition. As a nation, we achieved 18 medals at the Coastal and Beach Sprint Championship in only four years, and everything started from scratch in a program that we didn’t have in our country." I am beyond humbled and deeply grateful to be named the USRowing @usrowing Man of the Year by the board and at the incredible @hocr1965 This recognition means so much, and it would not have been possible without the incredible support of USRowing and the board. Just back from the 5th edition of Copa America in Lima, Peru. An emotional experience not only because of the results, but because of the incredible athletes who represent @nextlevelrowing and @usrowing , they really deserve everything. What stands out even more is the lifestyle we share, the energy, camaraderie, friendship, and genuine connection within the team, and with athletes, staff, referees, and the entire beach sprints and coastal rowing community. Thak you all! The camp and the regattas Beach Sprint, Endurance and ultra during the week made the trip an amazing adventure Grateful for the people who are part of this journey. This camp was so much more than training sessions, early mornings, waves, sprints, and kilometers on the water carrying boats. It was a week of commitment, growth, and connection — where I had the privilege of spending real time with you, not only as athletes. Moments like these remind me why we do what we do. Watching you train, push through fatigue, support each other, laugh together, and chase excellence every single day filled me with pride. Your attitude, your discipline, and your passion for the sport make coaching not just a job, but a dream I get to live every day. Every time another coach or athlete stopped to recognize how amazing you are, I had tears of joy — so thankful for having you in my life. NLR is more than a team. It is a family. And you are the reason every session feels meaningful, every challenge worth it, and every success shared.
