Met Gala 2025: Superfine—Tailoring Black Style
This year’s Met Gala was deeply personal—not only for what the theme represented, but because it marked my first time curating and styling a look for the event. I had the immense honor of working with Pusha T and the Louis Vuitton team, under Pharrell’s visionary direction, to create a look rooted in legacy, power, and artistry.
From research and moodboards to long days (and longer nights) of collaboration and fittings, this was a journey of intention—a reclamation of space. A statement of dignity, resistance, pride, and celebration. Thank you, Pusha-
@kingpush , for entrusting me with this vision.
To Pharrell and the entire LV atelier—your mastery made this possible. The hand-embroidery artists, pattern makers, and stitching teams: your craft is the soul of this look. Deep thanks to Jiska, Thibo, Imed, and especially Stan, who always takes my calls.
