Arrived two days early for a meeting in Tivoli, NY to get to know the area. 1) While at @clubsandwich.tivoli ran into @grace_bromley who recognized me from when we were in @judithgeichman painting class at SAIC circa 2014! Is this what it's like in Upstate NY, you're only two degrees of separation from everyone? 2-3) Staying at the delightful @hoteltivoli founded by @Bricemarden and @helenmarden 4-7) The hotel is loaded with art. A few of my favorites, @judy.pfaff Alan Saret, Helen Marden, Roy Lichtenstein 8) There's a good ice cream shop conveniently located next to the hotel @fortunesicecream 9) And a good neighborhood bar across the street @santafetivoli 10) The local library. It smells as good as it looks.

The end of a packed four days of @expochicago . My only regret is not taking more selfies! 1) @miacapodilupo @christineforni @yvettekaisersmith 2) @neilkraus from Pavilion 3) Michael Steinberg of @bienvenusteinbergandc 4) Standout ceramic sculpture show at Bienvenue Steinberg of work by @janeyangdhaene 5) In my new studio with my NY/Seoul dealer @jourdain_jongwon_lee from @space_776 . This was their first time taking a chance on Expo, and they sold out most of their show on the first day. And so many other parties that I was having too much fun at to photograph: @gertie.chicago @netvvrk.art @facility_chicago @barely_fair @thepeninsulachi . There's always next year!

I'm beginning a new series of ceramic wall slabs. They're a continuation of the work I started @instamosaika last March. The last image is of a slab mosaic I made during that residency, titled Midden. The new ones will eventually include glass, too. Anyway, this is the first one. I don't have a name for the series yet. They'll hang on the wall with custom-made steel brackets. Untitled slab 1 2 x 15 x 9 in Glazed stoneware 2026
