Last week i was incredibly grateful to be invited along to the release of the new @lowauk Explorer boots. After chatting to the team at kendal mountain festival last year they invited me along to Martindale for an amazing few days in the sun and the mountains! Thankyou to @sansonilens and @wanderwithred for the incredible photos too!
We took the new boots on a hike down the Martindale valley and up to Place fell, learning some great map skills with our custom @ordnancesurvey maps. The boots impressed me from the get go and are definitely going to be kept in the van for future hikes👌🏼
Was sooo good to spend some time with new people soo passionate about the outdoors and the Lake District too! ⛰️ 🥾

What a wholesome experience, from shoe fittings, meeting new people and seeing old friends, to hiking fells, drinking good wine and eating the most incredible food! 😌

I was kindly invited by @lowauk to Martindale for the launch of their new range of Explorer boots 🥾
Staying at @the_rowley_estates beautiful Hause Hall Farm, the 2 days consisted of boot fittings, a very blowy hike up Place Fell and Hallin Fell, a delicious team BBQ In the ☀️ and a very personal and realistic insight into what it takes to climb the highest mountain on earth with @timkington 🏔️
All in all it was a hellish couple of days in one of my favourite areas of the lakes and the boots lived up to the hype! Lightweight, very comfy (we all wore them box fresh and not a single blister on anyone’s feet) and preform well on a real a real mix of terrains. Looking forward to testing them out properly over the summer months 👌🏼

Nothing beats a good ol fashioned explore around the Lake District.
A few days ago myself and @wanderwithred had the pleasure of shooting the @lowauk Explorer GTX Launch Event.
This consisted of a couple days with no shortage of exciting strolls around the Majestical Martindale Fells in the Far Eastern Lake District, tucking into some fine scran on the stunning Terrace of Martindale Hause Hall Farm and chinwagging all day long with like minded humans.
We were also treated to a pretty inspirational talk about @timkington ‘s summiting of the one and only Everest, this pot noodle loving maniac is truly something to behold, if not for climbing the big bad boy but for his insanely talented eye for photography, you should deffo check him out.
We couldn’t have asked for finer weather conditions either, it’s safe to say a few of us ended up leaving the Lakes looking like we had visited a tropical island.
Oh and the boots were bloody delightful, definitely worth checking out if you’re in the market for a waterproof, lightweight and pretty tasty looking out of hiking boots this season.
All of this is thanks to the power of Instagram, whilst this platform definitely has its negatives, without it, I would never of had the opportunity to spend time with such great human beings.
So cheers Instagram I suppose.

First launch event in the books and what a way to kick things off.
I had the privileged to photograph the LOWA Explorer GTX Mid Boot launch with @sansonilens in beautiful Martindale, Lake District.
We split into groups and hiked up Place Fell, refuelled with an unreal dinner from @big5catering (seriously, that cheesecake?!), and ended the night with an inspiring Everest talk from Tim.
He didn’t quite convince me to climb Everest as one of my holidays … but his photos definitely planted a tiny seed 👀
I want to do it all over again already! ☀️

36 glorious hours in the Lake District for the launch of the @lowauk Explorer GTX Mid 🥾
The Explorer GTX is the lightweight, resolable follow up to the best selling Renegade and we had the best time testing them out!
First up was a boot fitting with coffee and a catch up with the team followed by a navigation session up a rather windy Place Fell.
Can we all take a moment for the weather we’re getting at the moment?! 🌞
That evening we were treat to a stunning al fresco dinner, many, many laughs and a talk through Tim’s holiday photos (sorry, Everest summit 😂)
Hallin Fell for breakfast before we said our goodbyes made for the perfect end to a very wholesome event.

We’re proud to support @breconmountainrescue and last weekend @adrianconchie , @beckysnowseaclimb and @natalieamythomas joined us at the annual Black Dragon Challenge.
Equipped with the latest models from our new trail running collection, they joined hundreds of hikers and runners and put the footwear to the test during a long day of mountain trails.
