Slide 11 sums up the challenge ahead π΅
The Trigalls Challenge (English Nuttalls - mountains over 2000ft - with trigs at the summits) is a bit epic.
Mainly because the trigs are so spread out across the country and pretty far away from my home in Glossop, Derbyshire π«
I gave myself 52 weeks to bag all 52 trigs before my 40th birthday.
Why? Because I'm an idiot.
In true Emily style, I got excited and shared this with everyone before making an actual plan.
Well, now I have π³ and it's one hell of a challenge! For someone single and content-creating full time, this would be a lot easier π
But it's not impossible and I'm going to try my hardest to make it happen! I'll be sharing every walk and every route I do along the way π₯Ύ
πΈ all of these amazing photos were taken by @explorewithbrendan on my first Trigall-bagging day on the Kentmere Horseshoe π

A reintroduction...with some history thrown in π€
I often get asked what my IG handle means so here's an explanation for anyone who thinks I'm a dentist (I'm not, I just have big teeth π¬).
I must mention here that my friend @matthillwriter came up with trigsandteeth...cheers, mate π
I've had an influx of new followers recently so thank you to everyone for being here! If you've followed me since those early Peak District trig-bagging days, you're legends for STILL being here and supporting me π₯°
If there's anything you guys want to see more of, just let me know in the comments. It's been almost 5 years and I'm still winging it on this page π€£

A single moment in your life has the power to change everything π¦
Losing my dad in such a sudden and traumatic way was bound to upend my life no matter what choices I made...but it's only recently that I've come to a realisation.
That last walk with my dad may have started this trig point obsession of mine. Every tap of trig brings me a sense of peace I can't explain π As woowoo as it sounds, I feel a connection with him up on those hills.
However much we analyse the past, it can't change the outcome. But the choices we make today will 100% change our future.
That first solo walk I took changed everything. It gave me an outlet for my grief and changed my perspective on life. It boosted my confidence and my self worth.
Staying in bed and waiting for 8 months for therapy wasn't an option for me. Once my time came to sit in a clinic, everything already seemed clearer...I just needed to be outside to be closer to my dad.
I just needed to be outside to feel more alive π
People may judge me for being so open and honest and vulnerable on here. But all I hope is that sharing my story might just help someone else.
Because if you've hit rock bottom right now, there is 100% a future where you can be happy and you can be a better version of yourself β¨οΈ
You can harness your grief to drive you to do something epic π

I felt so grateful to have been trusted by @antigravity_global with one of their shiny new drones...
...let's see if they feel the same way when I fly it π³π€
I have been told by the team that it's very beginner friendly and since I've only ever flown a drone once before (badly), that is music to my ears.
Honestly, I feel like my mum must have felt when phones came out! But I am looking forward to giving it a go because I've seen what they can do and WOW.
Stay tuned for part 2. Who thinks I will murder it?

Same campsite 20 years apart π₯Ή
That first photo is awful π€£ but we were having our morning coffee on the roof of the van LOLing at something and the cares of life were momentarily non-existent.
When we realised we had been to this campsite before, I did some digging on Facebook and found these corkers π
We were 19 then with no worries, no idea what the future would look like and no wrinkles π We headed to the nearest rock we could find for a spot of bouldering and a beer or two.
The van has doubled in size to accommodate a mini him and mini me and the adventures look a bit different now (the jeans went in the bin for one π).
The scariest thing is that the 2006 camp felt like yesterday. 20 years is a blip of time...I wonder if we'll be back when we're 59 π₯Ή

If you've been following my stories, you'll know the stress of today π
And just in general. It's week 22 of my challenge and I had 21 trigs in the bag π«π
Today, I got another bagged to get me back on track π£ πͺ
And frig me, it was a challenge π
16.5km with 660m of UP in 4 hours. Absolutely sweating my back out by the end π₯΅ If you do this route at a leisurely pace, it'll be more like 5.5hrs.
But I am loving my crazy missions before school pick up and some of my fave days of this challenge have been in the Yorky D. What a babe of a NT.
Currently on my way to the Lakes now. Thankfully, Ant's driving so I'm drinking cider as a passenger princess π»
Happy Friday dudes and dudettes π₯°

We'll be offering a community history walk to share what we know about an area we both grew up exploring π€

Anyway, we're doing a history walk on Friday 19th June so come join a pair of geeks and learn some interesting stuff whilst enjoying a beautiful walk in the Peak District - link in the bio and today's story (places are limited and over half already sold!)

Imagine knowing the day you were going to die...would that change anything?
It's my dad's birthday today. Sadly, he's not here to celebrate it with us.
He did know the day he was going to die because he decided he was done with life.
I see life differently since that day. No matter how hard it gets, I know how fragile life can be.
Grab life with both hands and do the things that make you happy π have the midlife crisis every damn day!
Happy birthday, dad π

1000% recommend ππ
I was recently invited to stay at @yanatbroadrayne in one of their luxury glamping pods and I had THE BEST stay with my hubby.
Since I was guiding in the Lakes that weekend, it was the perfect base for the hikes I had planned for work (Latrigg and Skiddaw) and play (Thirlmere infinity pool).
Situated in Grasmere with a glorious view of Helm Crag in front and incredible hikes from the doorstep in all directions, the location is perfect for outdoorsy folk π
We couldn't fault a single thing about this stay. The food, the service, the facilities in the pod and the little touches made this a 10/10 stay and we will 100% be back!
Thank you so much π₯°

Howling at some of these but I think the last one is my fave π

Windy summits + caps = ππ
@melf_fielding spent most of the hike chasing after her new cap during the @lowauk event and I'm so glad I captured one of these moments on camera π
The fact @sarah_walking_ and I didn't even know the chaos that was unfolding makes it even funnier π€£π€£π€£
