@jonasdemurias @jorge_nieto__ @lola.solalola @ramonmat @imprenta_sandelfin

In November I visited with @erea______ and @dede.koko Marken. We went to see @robbieschweiger in the last day of the exhibition Crossing Threads at @gelijkongelijk , a project space at Robbie’s, Tosca’s and Ossip’s home. We left the visit glowing. Everything of the visit, the exhibition and the relationship of both was a wish. Tomorrow @gelijkongelijk leaves their home to have it’s own place and it’s the celebration of this movement. From 16:00, ñ the publication Crossing Threads will be presented and includes contributions by Piet Korstman, @ritaouedraogo and @amandapinatih . There will also be a presentation of quilts by Akka Philips and with @un_mateo_ we will perform Unexpected Colors.

Intention of Return / Lentil Space 20 March 20:00 | doors open 19:30 | language: English, Arabic, Spanish | tickets from €10 via www.perdu.nl/agenda An evening dedicated to exploring the relationship between words, food and memory, in collaboration with @mophradat and the participation of Jumana Emil Abboud, Noor Abuarafeh & Mohamad Abdelkarim, Andrés & Francisca Khamis Giacoman, and Yusser al Obaidi @jumanasan @noor_abuarafeh @mhmd.abdelkarim @andreskhamis @franciscakhamis @yussername Intention of Return and Lentil Space are two separate books that explore the relationship between words, food, and memory. Intention of Return, a book by writer and artist Yusser al Obaidi suggests a movement towards a previous place in time, while Lentil Space, the cookbook Mophradat co-published with BOM DIA BOA TARDE BOA NOITE, fixes a space with measurable boundaries, one to be filled with human experiences, and which carries lentils. Both explore recipes as textual devices and forms that translate memory into instruction. In these publications, instruction acts as a mode of making present through gathering, not only conjuring memories within the present but also creating new ones. In the spirit of these two books, and the intensity gatherings offer, we have invited different artists to share their stories drawn from memory, relationship to home and land, and forms of attachment that take meaning through collective experience. Hosted by @mophradat and @lorenzombiee Poster design by @pablobardinet More information on our website

𝓢𝓶𝓪𝓵𝓵 𝓜𝓲𝓻𝓪𝓬𝓵𝓮𝓼 1: 𝓝𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽𝓴𝓮𝓮𝓹𝓲𝓷𝓰 will take place on February 21st. Small Miracles is a series of programs I am developing at Plein Theater within its community program line. Taking place across different Saturdays throughout the year, the series brings together diverse artistic practices in extended, durational formats. Each Small Miracle is dedicated to a single word. It is an invitation to gather around each word(-mode) and explore what they can open through the possibilities of being together in a theater. With a focus on communal luxury and desirable abundances, the programming will leans towards words aligned with these notions. This first Small Miracle is dedicated to nocturnality beyond the leisure stages of nightlife - to Nightkeeping. We will begin at 17:00 with the opening of a text-installation by Kaixin Chen, and at 20:00 we will move into the theater for performances, readings, talks, concerts, and food offerings by Third Gut (Alec Mateo and Raoni / Muzho Saleh), Margriet de Jong, Kuntenserven, Carla Arcos, Luca Lagomarsino, and Sankrit Kulmanochawong, together with Kaixin once more. @kaiiiiixiiiiin_chen @0attly @un_mateo_ @carlaarcos8 @rawany_3ishq @luquilagomarsino @brotundrosen #MargrietdeJong The evening includes dinner. More information can be found on the website of Plein Theater. Thank you to Berith Danse for thinking along in all the support and to Frank, Elise, Dayna and Maartje for the help. To @nadabien for imagining and drawing this scene of Small Miracles <3

𝙏𝙞𝙢𝙗𝙧𝙚 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙙. With Imani Mason Jordan & Nikita Sena and Third Gut (Raoni/Muzho Saleh & Alec Mateo). 28 November at 20:00 | doors open 19:30 | language: English | livestream available | tickets from €10, link in bio Timbre knows what happened. It does. Voices are containers and content at the same time. Voice is ship and load. This evening, the second in 𝙑𝙤𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙖𝙨 𝙇𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙨𝙘𝙖𝙥𝙚’s new focus on song, is dedicated to exploring the voice as an instrument through two artistic collaborations that propose diverse approaches to this. Voice is an instrument made of flesh and air. One that is sentient, that remembers, that is haunted. A glass of water now can clear a voice but a voice is ultimately an aftermath—of that body’s life and others that preceded it. It is also a resource we have, one that moves through different emotional spectrums and layers of knowledge. Both proposals of the evening explore meaning and poetics of voicings beyond language. 𝙄𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙞 𝙈𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝙅𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙖𝙣 (@homopathic ) & 𝙉𝙞𝙠𝙞𝙩𝙖 𝙎𝙚𝙣𝙖 (@dede.koko ) will be visiting from Italy and the UK, respectively. Together they have been exploring the potentials of sound matter found in text and language beyond its literality. In their procedures they incorporate repetition, improvisation and archive to distort preconceived forms of meanings but also produce new ones that resignify established structures of sense. This evening will be the first public offering of 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙧𝙙 𝙂𝙪𝙩. Third Gut is where 𝙍𝙖𝙤𝙣𝙞/𝙈𝙪𝙯𝙝𝙤 𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙝’s (@rawany_3ishq ) and 𝘼𝙡𝙚𝙘 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙤’s (@un_mateo_ ) practices meet. A space for them to explore transformative sounding, built on noise, vocality, performance and sacred mourning traditions. Raoni, drawing from the Shia mourning tradition, works with the wail as an embodied expression of grief, that carries in it emancipatory potentials and political urgencies, and Alec works with sound as a way to negotiate a fugitive relationship to memory, world, and subject building. The evening is hosted by 𝙇𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙯𝙤 𝙂𝙖𝙧𝙘í𝙖-𝘼𝙣𝙙𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙚 (@lorenzombiee , @voiceaslandscape ). Visual by @alix.chauvet .
