Exhibition view of Drummer # 7 # 8 - collage over lithography over charcoal mural.

Exhibition views of Drummer (# 1 - # 10) a series of lithographies and mixed media collages and drawings reimagining covers of Drummer magazine, a leather gay publication from the 1970s, blending anachronic elements like Derek Jarmanās cottage, a shark-shaped Hot Wheels, gaming chairs, pierced ID cards, drilled USBs into snares, music notation, screenshots from my body of work and from artists I admire. Here are a few close-ups from my favorites today <3

Thrilled to share some documentation of my first show š Developed without a sketch, my 13-meter mural "TrĆŖs Tristes Triggers / Optimism of the Will" is a constellation of data containers, tools, and their traces. The only planned elements were the two chapels of Madrid's San Antonio de la Florida ā aka the Twin Churches. The original one, on the left, holds Goyaās frescoes of St.Anthony of Lisbonās miracle. Later, the artistās headless body was buried in the said chapel. As the conservation of Goyaās pieces was not compatible with the religious functions, an identical church was built next door. In my mural, using these buildings as anchors in the composition allowed me to read every other element through questions of reproduction, function, and fluctuation of meaning.
Exhibition views in āRitmos y Poemasā, at @kunsthallelissabon Lisbon. On for a few months!

itās a multimedia installation expanding from my drum-poems; a 12 meter mural, some self archeology, lithographies of fictional gay magazine covers ā a constellation of memory through repetition. canāt show you much just yet, come see it!
