This first 'Small Miracle' on Saturday 21st will be dedicated to Nightkeeping 🌙
The program will start at 17:00 with the opening of an exhibition by Kaixin Chen, in which she will present her research on the historical relationship between spices and the Oost neighborhood of Amsterdam up to the present day. At 20:00, we will move into the theater, where Kaixin, alongside Sankrit, will offer a food gesture that combines this research with her ongoing work on temple food.
Third Gut’s second public performance will focus on lullabies from their stance of sonic fugitivity and the practice of wailing and moaning. Margriet de Jong will give a reading written for the occasion of the lapse of time through her. Kuntenserven expands the imaginaries of the harp by generating oneiric soundscapes that blend with the performer. Lucas Lagomarsino, with the piece Fantasy Gone, will engage with stars and open the night outward. Carla Arcos is thinking of ways in which to take the night with us back home.
Come and immerse yourself in an evening dedicated to exploring nocturnality together ✨
#GetInvolved | This series is part of the Plein Theater program for co-creation, in which we invite you to participate.
📌 Sankrit Kulmanochawon @0attly is an artist/designer based in Amsterdam. His processes start at close observations, memories, and found visuals, which end up in food designs, culinary experiences, graphic design and collages.
🔪 For this exhibition, he created the work ‘Grainy Blade,’ inspired by Thai kitchen staples, specifically commonly used knives. These knives are engraved with drawings motivated by, for example, food related words, ingredients and so on.

This year, the second day of the program ventures into the landscape of the city and moves us through an itinerary that explores the relationship of voice and territory.
A movement that takes us through green publics and ends in the If I Can´t Dance theater.
This day-long gathering explores the bounds of artistic production and reception, inviting the audience to a suspended sense of togetherness. An invitation to experience different materializations of time through offerings that intertwine with the shifts of light, hunger, and the many moods of a day.
The day will begin with an installation, a letter and food offering by Kaixin and Sankrit, whom we have invited to collaborate.
Kaixin’s practice explore ineffable emotional expierences across mediums like film, situationism and installation.
Sankrit is an interdisciplinary artist drawn to stories and collective memory as lenses through which to examine memory and diaspora.
This programme is possible thanks to support from the Cultuurfonds Ludo Pieters Gastschrijver, Amsterdam Fonds voor de Kunst, Acción Cultural Española and Embajada de España en la Haya

I will be showing a new work soon, and would love to see you there! ~
‘Disperse’ is an installation centred around germinated wheat grains and herbal inhalers. The sprouting shoots echo the initial process of making maltose syrup, a viscous form of sweetener that travelled from China to Thailand. Drawing a parallel between seeds and migration, the exhibition invites reflection on how movement shapes identity, labor, and belonging. Similar to how seeds leave their place of origin when harvested, replanted, and expected to ‘grow’ elsewhere, so too do generations of people who move in search of opportunity into unfamiliar landscapes.
Opening Night on Friday 7th of March from 7 pm
The show will be open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 1 - 5 pm
Finishing on Sunday 16th of March 3 - 5 pm

🥔 I'm participating in @hetresort 's Qualification World Championship Stamppot Cooking this Friday in Groningen, the event is open for anyone to pass by for a taste and casting a vote! I will be making a stamppot with zuurkool, sunchoke, spring onion oil, brown butter, and to go with it a North eastern Thai style raw sausage from smoked osseworst, toasted sticky rice powder, reduced zuurkool juice and herbs, topped with pork crackling and a chicken jus.
If you’re in Brussels this Saturday, feel free to drop by to @kaaitheater for an evening around rest, care, joy and fulfilment. I will also be making some rice porridge and youtiao for the dinner table here as well. 🍃
I will be showing my new work around the manners and expression of wrapping food this weekend. You may have seen glimpses of my research and try-outs with this topic through several food events and workshops that contained some elements of folding, wrapping, scribbling, or dumplings. This exhibition will bring all of that together, using leaves, rope and salt to propose a new skin for familiar food items.
Please come by to Stichting Studio Current, Zeeburgerdijk 25P, 1093SK Amsterdam to have a look at it if you like, it will be open from 12:00-19:00 on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th March. 🍃
