Video stills of "Aggregate" a performance that happened on May 24, 2025 @humanresourcesla A score for anarchistic behavior in public space, with voices falling in and out of sync with colors. Featuring a mobile rock, a cold fence, a spinning fountain, and a still warm tree. Thanks to all Performers❤️: @mcgaughey_studio @re_gen_corp666 & @prima_jalichndrsakntbhai And the generous production support from @nicksculptor # Vardui Sharapkhanyan @humanresourcesla and my host @pau_in_a_skirt Moving something from one place to another. Pushing things away, towards, parallel, against. Moving something with a purpose. This thing is now over here. Where should it be? Is something happening when we don´t know what´s happening? Moving in and out of sync. Being in and out of sync with machines that tell us what to do. Being in sync with people, objects, and immaterial things. Working together at the same time and speed or in disagreement for a moment. Moving out of sync with your own voice. With the voice of someone else. In between. We like that the prop appears real but is not. Paper instead of concrete. Stabbing someone but the knife bends. Testing if our imagination is strong enough to override the facts of reality. The expectation of the illusion and the revelation of nothing new. Again. Orienting yourself within the dimensions of public space. Dimensions express rules and establish territories. Can dimensions function as an emotional map? You look small next to this rock. The traffic light is three times the size of your belly. The idea of the fence is to block and protect. Could it be tender and playful instead, with no job? The idea of a rock is that it's heavy and static- maybe some of them roll. You can only go around or over. The fountain is a place for rest and leisure, it has a romantic atmosphere. You don´t need it, but you love when it's around.

Please join us for "other others- rehearsals in the skin" an exhibition and screening program curated by @ninasarnelle & #Selwa Sweidan as part of Touch Praxis @humanresourcesla from May2nd- May5th Documentation of my performance "access to nameless hazards" from 2016 will be part of the screening on the 3rd of May, 6-8pm ( featuring a reading from @vessels.we.are ) other atrists featured in the screening will be @emilijaskarnulyte mayfieldbrookz @petraturtledisco @ryat_yezbick @maryamtafakory @gorgeoustaps #RimaYamazaki There will be a fundraiser for Gaza on May 5th from 7-9pm featuring works by Mona Hatoum @foryourviewingpleasure @basmalsharif “access to nameless hazards " was an installation that featured a live performance by six performers, a soundtrack, and three monitors showing 3D animations. The installation and Performance were shown and commissioned by MARs Gallery in 2016. The installation consisted of 3 scenes that were built from used and thrown-away interior objects found in L.A. The objects were altered so that they changed or lost their function, while they are virtually represented with new functions as 3D animations on 3 screens. During the opening 6 performers positioned themselves inside the scenes while a voiceover with a soundtrack was audible in the space. The voice-over text contained a collage of fictional movie and video game dialogues and real transcribed interviews. Both kinds of texts were concerned with talking about the unknown. The work tries to capture the range of the unknown and create connections between the different contexts. The fear of a terrorist attack or UFOs is discussed as well as unfulfilled love or uncertainty about insurance coverage. The performance featured: Amber Joshua, Brittanie Hitchcock, Barbara O´Neill, Cornelius Hampton, Mark Galvan, Nate Zoba.

dual telescope, 2024 concrete, steel, plexiglass Telescopes are optical instruments invented to observe distant objects. They are supposed to magnify something too far away for our eyes to see. Dual telescope, instead is an invitation to look into and through a pile of concrete at each other. While the dual telescope carries instructions for possible performance and promises functions, it also displays the futility of devices. @godmodadoggerel is a group show organized and co-curated by @qualitycorn @sincerelyhide The exhibition picks up on the PST ART: Art and Science Collide juggernaut but pushes the conversation deeper into contemporary questions of carnival and instrumentation of the divine, pairing a diverse group of artists in a raw non-commercial space in Hollywood. on view until the 8th of December 2024 at 520 N Western Ave Hollywood open Fri 12-6pm Sat, Sun 12-5pm Artist List: @twilightzone.isa @markfloresartist @less_legs @___lucia_____h @internal_field @chickentasteslikewood @ikivimaki @mark.leckey @levitate108 @speedguru666 @paulmccarthyyy @bestguesslegs @samkshoemaker @rudyshepherd @gt_ev1 @sincerelyhide @qualitycorn with additional contributions by @daymobassoon @lachamberorchestra amongst others ( second image show @mcgaughey_studio using the telescope)
