Another piano piece that fascinated me when I was younger: Lisztās Concert Etude No. 3, āUn Sospiro.ā
The melody and harmony are actually quite simple, but Liszt turns it into something incredibly lush and romantic with texture and harmony. Sometimes the most beautiful music comes from very simple ideas treated in a beautiful way.
Also attempting this with a dog on my lap, which is not in the original score.
