Watching Scorsese pitch the would-be āKool-Aidā movie to Seth Rogen in Ep. 1 of The Studio, I immediately clocked the penthouse - we had it first! It was the same one we took over for an entire weekend last summer to shoot one of the wildest projects Iāve done to date with the irreplaceable @briplewman and @jamesmadethat : ELLE Magazineās Hollywood Rising 2024, shot entierly in the penthouse of the Hollywood Roosevelt.
Thought it was about time I shared some of the incomparable @sharifhamza ās stunning shots from the coolest project weāve done to date, plus a little BTS š
Had so much fun creating this visualizer for one of my favourite bands @wombatsofficial new track āMy Head Is Not My Friendā with @jamesmadethat and @mattbendo a few months back. Sometimes in this line of work you get to stand out in a snowstorm and light things on fireā tough gig, but somebody has to do it. Glad it could be us!
āØitās written in the starsāØ
Ever driven across an entire country with two of your best friends, a wild dream, a 30lb Dutch oven, and an iridescent purple Tesla? No? Just us? š¤
We spent an entire day capturing drone footage out on the Utah salt flats on a sunny day back in November of 2022 just for fun. And none of it had seen the light of dayā until today. This was shot almost exactly two years ago to the day. The nostalgic power of a camera roll is awe inspiring. Hopefully just inspiring enough to remind you to keep chasing those stars in your eyes every so often.
If you know anything about me, you know that I eat, sleep, and breathe movies. And if you know me well, you also know that Iāve always been excited by technology. About two years ago when whispers of types of AI closer to what weāve dreamed of in sci-fi flicks started to hit my hears, I immediately started experimenting with all the tools I could get my hands on. Text to image, text to speech, text to video⦠they sparked in me this boundless childlike excitement for their infinite potential. They were janky, but they were exciting (and not without controversy)!
What youāre watching now is one of my just-for-fun exercises in exploring the cinematic potential of those tools. Recently, Iāve been hungry for creative outlets, and after creating a pipeline using about four different tools, I channeled that energy into crafting a minute-long cinematic trailer for a movie I had written a few years ago. While I used AI-driven tools to create the building blocks of what youāre watching, I want to be clear that Iām the one who made this.
Although the limitations of the tools at this stage in their development sometimes took a few tangential liberties with some of the narrative seeds I had planted in my original vision, Iām really excited by what I was able to make in just a couple of days assembling it piece by piece. Also, wouldnāt be fair to post this without acknowledging the potential misuse of artificial intelligence based tools like this as they get better and better, and that thereās a big need for regulation sooner than later. But, if they allow us to explore creative outlets and create like this⦠theyāre worth the growing pains.
All that being said, āRoveā is a story thatās really close to my heart, about loss, perseverance, and ultimately sacrifice. Iām excited to share this with youā not because of HOW I made it, but because I DID. Enjoy, nerds :)
New work for MARVEL! (someone pinch me)
It was a dream come true to bring this project to life with the team listed below. I even embarrassingly wore my MARVEL STUDIOS hat to our first production meetingā just so Disney knew I meant business.
This project was a wild ride that grew beyond anything we couldāve imagined; with teams collaborating across multiple continents and time zones.
By the end, we delivered over 150 unique assets that are currently playing in theaters nationwide, on TV, Disney+, in stores, on billboards, and inevitably all over your social feeds (sorry in advance). And the first spot to release for the campaign premiered on a national broadcast during the 2024 EuroCup final š®āšØā½ļø
I know this is a commercial campaign and not Avengers 8: Tony Starkās Revenge, but seeing this play before Deadpool and Wolverine fills me with a unique type of nerd-pride knowing all the hard work that we put into it. It was an honor to orchestrate this alongside giants, and we owe it all to this mighty roster of Avengers who assembled:

I flew to Kansas and all I got was this football helmet camera rig, a 2024 Corvette Stingray, and a team of incredible filmmakers to work with. 10/10 producing experience; would do again.
Currently only accepting jobs that have a view as good as the one from the rooftop of @thehollywoodroosevelt so I can get more candid pictures of me talking into a walkie that are as good as this one.
An action shot of me hard at work during our third shoot day of @leicathefilm . This is considered an āaction shotā when youāre capturing what itās like to be a producer. Move over, @jasonstatham .
Not pictured: me running into a literal fire 7 hours prior doing the exact same job.
